400 outlander dies after running for and hour.

Took my 400 outlander out for the first run of the year. After about an hour or so it started to run poorly, not keeping revs up. I checked the air cleaner and spark plug, both seemed ok. Machine started up and ran fine for another extended period of time(2 hrs) and did not start to loose rpms again until I was heading home on the road and was wound out. Engine started to die again. Is it an overheating issue or a possible vent/vacuum problem.

Clutching

i was jus wondering..i love my old school Scrambler..i have owned 2 over the last 15 years so i know u constantly got to keep on top of them as u do on all Polaris machines..i like wrenchin so this is not an issue..Havein said that there is 1 thing id like to know..what is everyone else doing about clutching? What i mean is..the factory clutching on these machines r fine for factory tires which i have wore out 2 sets already so..this time i would like to put on a little beefier set as most of my rideing is in slow technical trails which require low range…and as u all know Scramblers dont have..so..do any of u have clutch kits in ur scramblers?..or just a primary spring change?..or am i totally out of luck in this catagory..

any input will help.. thx

First trip to Royal Blue area (pics)

We really enjoyed our first trip to Royal blue, it was pretty amazing to have that much area to ride in compared to what we are used too. The last pic of the map is all the trails we rode in red, we did 150 miles in 2 1/2 days. It rained for several days leading up to us going there, so the trails were very muddy, especially the first day. The scenery was awesome, but was surprised at how mild most of the trails are. We come from areas where we climb hills you can’t walk up. I’d say the most challenging trails we did were trail 9 on the first day there. Then Friday night we did a night ride all the way out trail 2, then to trail 26. Trail 26 was pretty amazing at night time, good hill climb at the beginning. Can’t wait to go back and explore some more!!
