So need help diagnosing the loose feeling I keep feeling on when wheels are articulate. A arms and shocks are tight and have Garage Products bushings installed. Tie rod ends feel tight they are the American Star chromoly heims ends. Ball joints are good. And steering rack feels fine. Just can’t diagnose the looseness. In the past the loose feeling usually means tie rod ends or bearings but they are fine. Also axles are new.
First Year With The 570
It’s come up on my first year (780mi.) with the all new 2014 570. Generally, I ride logging roads and right-of-ways on our property. Occasionally I will ride on an old rail bed and on a 100 year old short line bed with plenty of mud. So far this machine has been very impressive. I consider myself a fairly aggressive rider. I had the whole hot seat issue, but otherwise the bike has been flawless. For what I paid a year ago ($5,390) I consider this bike to be of great value. I have read about all the supposed "issues" with this new bike. While I’m sure some of these stories have some truth to them, I felt it necessary to write about my positive experiences to date. For anyone who is possibly interested in one, I rate it at five stars. At one point I had considered putting mud tires on it. After thinking about it for awhile I realized that this would be foolish as there is only one spot where I was high centering. So I saved five or six hundred bucks and cut a new trail. The money I saved was used for a snow plow. I got an old style glacier with the front mount. Those front mounts are sold under the idea they won’t reduce ground clearance. While this is true, they will reduce your angle of attack. All the rocks and logs that were cleared with ease before now become sticking points. So, needless to say, I will be removing my mount for summer riding. Today while riding with a friend and his new Rzr S 900, I somehow managed to slice my right rear inner CV boot. Initially I remember my dealer telling me that when this happens a new axle is only a couple bucks more. Fortunately I posses some sense and mechanical aptitude and will be purchasing a boot kit. All this having been said, if you’re thinking about it, do it. You won’t be disappointed. Happy riding.
Ashland Resort
I will be going to Hatfield-McCoy trails in October. Looking at doing some camping at the Ashland Resort. Would like some feedback on the resort from someone who has stayed there before. Will be staying in my trailer. Thanks.
Pull-pal RW6000 or RW11000
Hi,
I have a RZR 4 800; I’ve been looking at pull-pals for winching out of situations where’s there’s nothing to winch from. I was thinking of getting the RW6000 (vehicles up to 3000#) but thought for not much more maybe go with the RW11000 (vehicles up to 6000#). Does anyone have any opinion on whether the RW11000 is too much for a RZR 4 or if it would be a good idea?
Thanks
Batter removal 650 ext-trailbuck
perhaps a silly question.
The battery is too large to simply lift out no matter which way I seem to turn it.
The battery is too large to simply lift out no matter which way I seem to turn it.
I am curious what is the suggested best way for battery replacement and what else must be removed to replace the battery.
I can come up with a couple different options, but none of them seem quick.
I am hoping I am missing something obvious.
Thanks
ran fine, now no spark
Well I started up and rode my 2000 Honda foreman 450s a week ago started right up ran fine, parked it shut off. Went to try to start it this week and nothing, has no spark, so I tried a different spark plug. Still no spark, so what could be the cause of this issue?
