From reviewing the archives, it looks like I found the vent tube to be pulled out from its L fitting on the tank. Just confirming this is so, and if so, does it need to be reattached? Reassembly sounds to be ‘fun’..
I found this condition when I removed the instrument housing to get at the high beam adjuster nob.
This is my first post on here. I have been reading the forum getting information and I can not find an answer to this. I picked up a 1997 TRX300 2×4 for $100. It had a broken rear axle. Tore it apart, replaced the axle, seals and bearings with help from the site.
The bearing at the end of the steering shaft is gone. I can find the bearing online, but I was trying to get one locally. The local napa can order me one, but I was trying to get the bearing dimensions and see if they had one on hand. My issue is I cannot find the dimensions anywhere. And the napa couldn’t find the dimensions either.
I’m new to the whole CVT transmission, and am curious just how much abuse can they take? I’m used to the Hondas and their geared trannys. I feel like I need to baby my sportsman so I don’t snap the belt. Help me build some confidence with this thing!

The Polaris RZR front bumper from Outdoor Logic will fit both the 2 seat and 4 seat 1000’s, 900, and 900S. It has tabs to accommodate a 10" LED bar or a pair of 4" LED or HID lights. The light tabs are slotted to allow you to adjust your lights for the perfect fit and look. The front bumper is available in 4 different powder coated finishes that include Raw, Black, Red, and Orange. The skid plate is a raw finish that mounts with 4 stainless steel countersunk bolts. The bumper includes all mounting hardware to install right on your RZR XP 1000. There is no need to drill holes as it bolts right on.
I have a 2014 SPORTSMAN XP 850 H.O. EPS. I recently purchased a Lock & Ride Front Cargo Box and installed it this past weekend. The next part may be hard to explain so bear with me. I installed the box and its held onto the frame by the (2) lock and ride anchors I guess Ill call them where the old front rack use to sit. The box I would say is very secure on the rubber latch side where those anchors are located and doesnt move at all. However the front of the box (hinge side) / front of the machine I am able to lift the box a couple of inches above where it sits. Should I be able to lift the front of the box and inch or two, or did I miss something that keeps the box more secure in the front? I can take a picture if it would help anyone visualize what I am trying to explain.

The new Kanati Mongrel by GBC Motorsports is the first true all-purpose DOT tire built specifically for Side-by-Side UTVs. You might recognize the name Kanati from their affiliated light truck tire, the Kanati Mud Hog. That’s because the Mongrel utilizes the very same tread pattern as the Kanati Mud Hog, marked by aggressive diamond-shaped lugs to give you the traction when you need it most.
Much like the light truck version, the non-directional Kanati Mongrel’s tread is optimized for peak performance on multiple surfaces. The Mongrel can handle a variety of off-road terrain while remaining equally safe and suitable for paved surfaces. This 8-ply rated, DOT approved (street legal) radial tire also boasts an impressive 1,000 lb. load rating and an equally impressive 87 MPH “N” speed rating for durability and superior performance. The height of the tires are accurate when inflated to manufacturer’s recommended pressure and not under load.
