I have a new 2015 RZR 900S and its really new less than 5 miles and it rattled really bad upon start up after setting for a few weeks. So like everybody else I started to look for cam chain tensioners. I settled on the Boondocker tensioner. So I took the plunge and ordered the Boondocker and payed my $200.00. When the tensioner arrived I removed the stock unit and tried to screw in the Boondocker adapter and it hit the starter motor and would not screw all the way in. I had read here on the forum that some of the guys had sanded the edges of the adapter to make it fit. I did not want to accept the liability of altering a manufactures part. So I called Pete at Boondocker and advised him I was returning the tensioner. He asked if I could wait and that he would send me a modified part and would I try that before returning the tensioner, no problem. The modified part arrived and it fit perfectully. It took about 30 minutes to install the tensioner and it works great. no more rattle. I would like to say that pete and the whole staff at Boondocker were great to work with. It seems that the 900S has a different starter than the 1000 or the other 900 that was the issue.
I am pretty sure my fuel pump is bad, the quad runs good cold with a full tank of gas, but as soon as the gas level drops and I start smelling gas fumes, from the gas getting hot, it starts to run bad.
I see Polaris sells only the whole tank for $600+. So I am wondering if anyone has tried to install the Carter P72118 pump that seems to work and fit in the older Sportsmans.
The pump is a small Bosch 566 pump other numbers on the pump S06 304-24. The pump looks pretty small. But the main thing I notice about the pump is MADE IN CHINA….

Hi! New guy here. Have a 1990 Honda 4 wheel-drive 300 trx, been sitting awhile and when it goes into gear it jumps, adjusted the clutch and is some what better but not a smooth transition. I have it on block and in neutral the wheels don’t free-wheel, they all turn when one turns is that because of the centrificle clutch or do I have a problem? When the engine is running in neutral the wheels don’t move. Just a hack at this but can’t afford a mechanic and I like to work on stuff.
Why on blocks. After rebuilding the carburetor and some electrical repairs to get it running again it didn’t move very well. Breaks were frozen-up, removed the master cylinder and that loosen them, need to check wheel cylinders and make sure they are OK, too.

just wondering if a control module (the one that has the voltage regulator in it) from a 2007 sportsman x2 500efi would fit my 2006 sportsman 500 efi they have different part numbers but aren’t they the same machine the x2 module is quite a bit cheaper then the sportsman one.
