Hello,
I have a 2004 Honda Foreman Rubicon 500 with that hondamatic transmission in it. A friend of mine has an 02 Honda rancher 350 with the usual foot shift transmission. When we go on day-long rides, we notice that my atv uses a lot more fuel then his. If he uses a 1/2 tank; I’m near empty. I was wondering if this is normal or not. And if not what can we look at to fix this problem? We both have the same mods to our atvs; warn 424, 2" lift, disk brake conversion. I don’t understand why I burn so much more fuel. And with a bigger tank. Any suggestions will be helpful. We keep our atvs in top condition and regularly change oil and filters. Any questions you can email me, respond to this post, or direct message me. Any suggestions on how to fix this is appreciated!!
Thanks,

Trying to find a better way of cleaning carbon deposits from valves and head. Currently I’m using a drill and scotch brite pad for the valves with carb cleaner. This works ok. Main prob is scotch brite scrubbing on the head is taking forever.
Any ideas on soaking the head with something that will not eat away at the aluminum, etc? Surely there is an easier way….?
I have the Polaristar warranty and have heard nothing but horror stories with the Assurant admin, mine is through Wachovia. Are they any better? Should I cancel it?
Just replaced my belt at 11,000mi. on my 2012 550. Ran great for about 100mi. But now my High and reverse light comes on at the same time and the engine wants to cut off on me. Reverse light goes off and it runs fine then it comes on again and it starts to miss again. Can’t figure this one out. Any one know what it could be.
Thank, Bob
