05/01/15 El Cajon, CA– Last weekend, Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports sponsored athlete Jerett Brooks raced in rounds 3 & 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ. The rounds were held on Friday and Saturday nights.

In Friday‘s Round 3, Brooks started in row 2 due to no qualifying because of the rain. The first few laps of the race the #77 ran 3rd behind RJ and Brandon Arthur. After RJ broke, Brooks was bumper to bumper with Brandon for the rest of the race up to the point of a caution creating a "green white checkered". When the flag dropped, Brooks ran outside of turn one and was pushed out causing him to drop back to 4th. Coming into the last turn battling for 3rd with Brad Deberti, the trucks were hooked together and the #77 crawled up Deberti’s causing the #77 to roll over. The caution came out again and Brooks was able to roll back over and salvage a 10th place finish.

In Saturday’s Round 4, Brooks qualified first overall and the invert was 2 which placed him in the second row, inside, behind Sheldon Creed to start. Throughout the race, Creed and Brooks kept a 4 car gap until the last lap when the caution came out due to a wreck. This again created a "green white checkered" scenario. When the green flag dropped, Brooks went high into turn 2 passing Creed on the outside which gave Brooks the inside for the next turn and a lead on Creed. Coming into the last turn Creed was on the door of the #77 trying to pass but had to take the low line because Brooks had the inside on the top line which was faster. This allowed Brooks to get his first win of the season!
