Does the Outlander have an existing rear differential, or is it solid?

A buddy of mine says his Polaris Sportsman has a rear differential so he can run it on grass. As soon as he shifts to 4WD it locks the rear. I couldn’t challenge because I wasn’t sure.

2003 Polaris Sportsman 600

I have a 03 Sportsman 600 that I am having a couple of issues with. First off, it will not always shift into high gear. Sometimes it goes right in and other times it will sit there and grind and never go in. The other issue I am having is that when I ride it and it really warms up, I cannot change gears. I have to shut down the machine put it into the gear I need and then start it back up. I was wondering if anyone on here has had or heard of problems like this and point me in the right direction. Need help buying a CVT belt

It seems as if my 2013 RZR 800 was a transition year. Google search on my 2013 model turns up very little…almost as if 2013 didn’t even exist. I’m having trouble finding a reasonably priced CVT belt that will fit my year. On one site, it might include the 2013 with earlier years, then on another, it is listed by itself (year-wise). I’ve also seen some talk about using the 800 S’s belt, but not sure if this would include the 2013 model year. Anyway, I know there are very knowledgeable folks on here and yes, I did a search but before I buy, would feel more comfortable if I could get a consensus about which belt to buy, which brand, whether 2013 was a transitional year and the belt must be specific to this year, etc.

If you have a buying source to recommend, please do so. If you have a belt brand (AND the part number), even better. So anyway, my ride is a 2013 2-seat RZR 800 LE (NOT the 800S).

Center console belt holes, 2015 900

Has anyone figured out a way to plug the holes in the center console when using aftermarket seat belts, on a 2015 900 trail? On the oem belts there is the rectangular rubber inserts that the seatbelt runs through sealing it form the under carriage. I’m not trying to cut up the oem rubber ones.

While doing my spring check over on my 09 RZRs I found free play in the pass side front wheel. So I figured wheel bearing. Well it kind of was the issue. When I pulled the thing apart the wheel bearing was the updated one with the old hub. I can’t believe something didn’t get destroyed. I let the guy I bought it from know so he wouldn’t take his new machine back to that dealer for service work. I can’t believe a dealer would do something like that to a paying customer. Now an ex customer.

Best door for a Jagged X

Hey everyone,

I see a lot of people on here don’t like the Polaris doors and put aftermarket ones on.
What is the best door out there for the Jagged X? Do all 900 4 seater doors fit the jagged? I just wonder that because the cage is different that the stock 900 4 seater cage.

Im not he biggest fan of the polaris doors and want to upgrade the doors.

Grizz vs Rancher

Up until several years ago, the only ATV I had ridden was my dad’s 97 two wheel drive Timber Wolf. It wasn’t a lot of fun as it was uncomfortable and with small tires, bad brakes and foot shift I was always playing catch up with my friends. I didn’t dare go where they did for fear of flipping over.
Well, that finally happened trying to load it on a tip trailer. Messed my arm up bad and after that I knew if I was ever going to ride I would need something heavier with 4WD. Right about then my neighbor put up for sale his 09 Honda Rancher. It was a honey with IRS, power steering, a new trailer only 126 miles on it. Turned out he did the same as I did and flipped it on the first weekend ride. He came home, parked it and decided to collect stamps instead.
After one ride my wife fell in love with it and declared it hers. I had noticed another neighbor selling his ATV as we pulled out on our way to our week long camp out so I rode up to the top of a mountain into cell range and called him. He said it was a 2004 Grizzly 660 which meant nothing to me but the price was right so I told him I would take it and be home Monday to seal the deal. My thoughts were to use this for a year until I could find a matching Ranger for my ride.
First ride out I knew this was a terrific bike. Unlike the Honda there was no shifting going on at weird times, it was really stable and a very plush ride. This all came back to me this week as I was changing oil on both bikes, which lead to detailing them out with SC1, which lead to comparing rides in my back yard. Putting aside the fact that 660cc is ahead of 420cc this Grizzly is the bike that the Rancher should be. While I think the Rancher is a better small trail bike, especially with that power steering, I would be nuts giving up the big platform Grizzly for another Rancher.
Bottom line is, don’t let the glitz of a new ride and a matched set idea sway you from quality and superior engineering. Besides….after a can of that SC1 spray, the old grizz is looking pretty sweet!

05-05-15 El Cajon, CA– The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series’ Rounds 3 & 4 took place under the lights, Friday and Saturday April 24th and 25th at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ.

Isabella (Bella) Naughton, driving the #554 Mod Kart, had a great weekend of racing fun. Will Munns and Michael Jankowski put a lot of work into the kart to make sure it was working the best it could before arriving at the track and her dad, Rob Naughton, puts a lot of time, energy and effort into making sure Bella makes it to the races each weekend.

“Overall a pretty fun race weekend. There was no qualifying Friday due to rain so I started 7th. I was battling hard for 3rd but got a little impatient and had to serve a black flag penalty for rough driving which put me to the back. With only a few laps left I finished 18th on Friday.” Bella continued, “On Saturday I qualified 15th. We couldn’t seem to get one good, clean lap without there being a yellow. I had super fun time racing; good clean battles in the race. I fought hard and managed to pull off a solid 8th place finish. The kart was running amazing both days. I know with a little more seat time and prep we will be fully prepared for the up and coming races. I have to thank my sponsors, without them there would be no race!”
