In a stock outlander, engine air intake and cvt intake is pretty high, high enough for my purposes. But the limiting factor is cvt exhaust, which is just right above the gas exhaust, under the seat.
I have heard issues, like melted plastics etc, if you remove the "exhaust cooling" and relocate the cvt exhaust up to pod. That’s what I have heard, but sure it depents how you drive and to what you use your atv for.
So the guestion is: have any of you done (or planned to) a longer cvt exhaust pipe which eventually goes back to gas exhaust to cool it down. Like go up to pod, and back down to its original exit.
That way I could keep the cooling, and go deep in water.
Ideas, anyone?

On Saturday I bought a new 900S rode it a few hours and went home hey on it the next morning and it was smoking so I took it back to the dealer and the found that some type of "boot" had been improperly installed and caused the rzr to burn all the oil out so the dealer gave me a new one… good deal right? No! I got the new one home and it started throwing engine lights and codes, last power, no speedometer, and no power steering… I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the speed sensor we test rode and it done it again so I have to leave it there….today I was told that it wasn’t the sensor its the entire module! And they may have the part by the weekend…. totally unacceptable and they WILL NOT refund my money…. any ideas on this one?
I’ve also called the 800 number for Polaris and that’s a total JOKE! Poor girl on the phone didn’t understand a word I was saying.
yes you’re reading this correctly I’ve had two different machines and they’ve both been brand new and they’ve both had manufacturer defects and Saturday will be a week.

Hi, and thank you for adding me to your forum. My name is Jerry and I am as new as it gets to the quad scene. I have a 2007 Grizzly 700 (all stock for now) that I picked up to go trail riding and hunting with. I live in Colorado so I have a huge selection of terrain to ride from Rocks to desert and sand to snow. My quad has a Warn 2.5 winch, plow, and is in great shape with 516 miles on it. I hope this is a great bike to start. I chose a 700 because I am 6’3" 290# and Ill be hauling big game in the winter when I’m not trail riding. I am on Yamaha Grizzly Owners Club on FB so I have been learning what I can but I am sure I have plenty to go. I thank you all in advance for any help you give and please excuse my newbee questions but we all have to start somewhere.

My much loved MV7 is up for sale!
This unit is located in South Eastern New Hampshire (about 30 miles NNW from Portsmouth New Hampshire. I have an enclosed trailer that can help with somewhat local delivery.
It has a Polaris roll bar, two new winches, a new Polaris battery this year, a carry rack for rear hitch. Polaris Snow Plow, and Polaris rear wheel tire chains. It also has the standard run-flat tires.
This machine was used in and around my Forrest. I never had the opportunity to rally with other ATV groups.
I am selling my home and planning on traveling full time in my Motorhome, which will not allow me to keep this.
I may put up some pictures if I can find where to attach them.
Thank you for any interest on this.
Jack
Gotta a buddy buying a 2012 outlander Max 800R. Low mileage and hrs. What does the "R" signify? Anything he should be concerned about or looking at? This has the G2 frame doesn’t it?
