New voltage regulator still problems.

Guys I have my other XP that I put another of Rick’s voltage regulators on it. The first one on my other machine has been perfect and stays steady at 14.3V. This 2nd one, I swapped in on my other machine and idle is 11.8-12.0 and when I give it throttle voltage rises quickly to over 16.5-16.8 and of course the power steering is off. Is the brand new regulator bad or do I have some other issue? Also I noticed the voltage regulator got pretty hot very quick, so I’m hoping I just got a bad one from Rick’s.

how to utilize factory taillights with street legal kit.

How’s it going everyone. First time user here and first time rzr owner. Just received my white 4 seat 1000. Love it so far. I will install my street legal kit soon. And was wondering if anyone knows the trick to use my factory taillights to flash. I’m not scared of drilling the holes for the LEDs the kit came with. Just thought it would be cool to have them flash. FYI my kit I’m using is a tusk. I know ryco uses the factory taillights.

Motor swap

Well, I have been researching this for the past week and am not getting any definite answers, just speculation so any help is welcome. I got my hands on a 2009 Renegade 500 with a blown engine and if it’s not too much trouble I’d like to fit an 800 engine instead. What parts do I need to make this work? Before you tell me it’s more trouble than it’s worth let’s come up with a list and let me decide. I would get a used complete engine rather than rebuilding what I have. Computer and matching key. Can I use the stock wiring harness and just swap in the ecu & key? Cooling system the same? Clutching definitely different so is there a complete 800 clutch kit I could get or is it going to be a primary and secondary replacement? Exhaust? Anything else I’m forgetting? Can I use an 800 from an outlander or renegade of any year?
I’ll admit the new Griffin 640 kit is intriguing but I’d rather get into a 800 based engine so I can BBK off of that. There are no used 800 or 1000 Renegades for sale in my state that I can find and I have been looking…

New Foreman First Run

Today I took my new Foreman 500 out for it’s first run. I went to Coyote ATV trails in Southern Illinois. It was raining the whole time, and the trails were muddy.

I am completely impressed with this bike!!! Even though the trails were a mess, I ran into nothing that the bike could not handle. Excellent machine!!! I’m completely impressed with it.

03 polaris sportsman 90

Hi,
I have a 03 sportsman 90 that will not start. It took a while but I got it running but the carb leaked. I rebuilt the carb and I can’t get it to start. It has spark and it seems it’s getting fuel. I keep checking the plug and it’s not flooding. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

No power when key is on

Bike was runnig fine- cleaning out a flower bed with the trailer attached. I took what I had in the trailer and dumped it and headed back for another load. After loading, when I turn the key to ON I get no lights on the instrument panel and of course the bike won’t turn over. Battery is about 6 months old and has a little over 12.5v when testing with a meter. I double checked the battery connections and they look fine. Any ideas?
The bike is an 06 Kodiak 450
Thanks
