XP1 Alba Motor Build

First off, I have to thank Nate for his expertise and advice. He describe multiple choices to me from my initial stage 2 build questions to turbo options, and everything in between. He ask me for my priorities and what I expected to receive. A little unsure on my part made this decision complicated and second guessing myself. Pros and cons from reliability, cost, maintenance, service, watching gauges while driving, and being able to cruz around all went into the process. I am not a big dunner, but I am only a hour from Pismo. I ride forest roads and like open desert. The car also needed to be reliable to drive around on asphalt roads in a private community. Maybe with more time at Pismo, Glamis is in the future. Another decision to deal with paddles.
After visiting his shop, seeing other customer builds, Alba’s own cars, and listing to members positive feedback I made up my mind for Alba to work on the RZR. The XP is now at Alba’s shop, the motor is being removed and parts are being ordered. I decided on a N.A. 1102c.c. BBK with all the goodies.
This is similar to Nate’s personal RZR. Carrillo rods, CP pistons, porting, Alba re-flash, fuel management, chain tensioner, Alba clutch kit, belt gauge, HD stud kit, Web cams, Beehive valve spring kit and more. The best part in my mind is having a first class shop doing the install.
I know this is not a Z1 swap or built turbo, as I was not looking for the fastest car. But it should be a big difference.
Nate will keep us posted on the progress and post dyno results.

Rzr 570/ace 570 door fitment

hey there guys…

was wondering if anyone heard or tried to install ACE 570 doors to a RZR 570 and would they fit?

tried doing a search but couldn’t find anything…just kept coming up with ACE 570 specific stuff.

thanks in advance for anyone’s help…it is truly appreciated.

Quick Disconnect Lighted Whips Plug

Thought I would share my idea and get some feedback. I’ve placed an order for a Tribal Whip Extreme 6′ and wanted an easy, clean way to connect to the back of my 15 900 4 Seater. Unlike the 1k, there is no flag mount in bed so I’m planning to run the Axia mount along the back horizontal bumper bar. I also love Panel Mount solutions and after hours of searching I found this:

Tecmate ? OptiMate CABLE O-20

It’s a preorder item, but by far the cleanest solution for power I could find. I’m gonna mount just to the right of the P in Polaris across the back and tuck all wiring up behind.

Anyone one have other ideas? Figured I could keep the plug from Trial Whips and have a clean disconnect for when I’m running my fiberglass whip.

Discount Tire Trail Support Trailer!

If you thought RESQ1 was cool, check out our newest piece of off-road awesomeness!

We decided to build a utility trailer in an effort to better support the UTV events we attend each year. This incredible piece of ingenuity was designed and built by one of our very own. Our trail support trailer ‘s maiden excursion will take place at this year’s Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks event in Moab, UT and we’ll be testing the off-road capabilities at the Tread Lightly! Restoration for Recreation Project on Sevenmile Rim Trail.

Some of the trailer highlights include:

  • Independent suspension
  • Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP shocks
  • Uni-ball hitch for maximum pivot
  • 2600W Smittybilt generator
  • 14×7 Raceline Mamba wheels
  • 30×10.00R-14 Rage Thunder tires
  • Smittybilt collapsible awning
  • 16" Camp Chef Grill
  • x2 54 quart Coleman stainless coolers

If you’ll be attending this years ROTR event don’t forget about our "I SPY" Rage Tires photo contest. Our trail support trailer is fitted with 30" Rage Thunder tires so if you see it, snap a photo and upload it to Instagram using #ragetires for a chance to win a Discount Tire backpack full of goodies!
