Thanks to Fix My Toys

Just wanted to thank Chris and Jim at Fix My Toys. Got in touch with them regarding a part for one of my machines. Even though they would not get the sale because the part was not available through them (discontinued) they still took the time to personally call me and provide me with the right part numbers for what I was looking for so I could continue my search. Fantastic service, especially given they knew they couldn’t provide the part for me. đŸ™‚

Newbie with questions

I’m looking for a 4×4 to use just around my place. I will mostly use it for pulling small trailers, like BBQ pits, lawn carts, and the like. I might pull my bass boat just to turn it around if needed. Now, what do I need…. I don’t want to spend a ton on a new machine, and have found a 2004 500 4×4 rancher that is affordable. Will this machine do the job I want it for. I haven’t actually seen the machine yet, but understand it’s an electric shift??? Since I know nothing about these machines any advice will be appreciated.

2015 Outlander L 500 green light?

Tried to search and didn’t find anything. Wife took son on ride around our place. Parked for a few hrs. Got rained on pretty good while I was gone. Stopped raining about 2 hrs before I got home. Started it and it died when I put it in gear. Got it restarted. Ran rough. Got it to smooth out. Ran it around our place. When I went to put it back in the garage there was a green light lit on the cluster. Bottom right corner. Owners manual made no mention of it.

Do yall know what it could be? Also, when driving it’s got a wah wah wah noise. SPeed dependent. Is that normal? Been doing it since I brought home.

Help with Identification

Ok, not wanting to look like a complete tool, but here goes. I bought a used 2001 Sportsman 400. It didn’t have spark, wouldn’t start. Ok, nothing unusual but thought it was a cdi box. purchase new cdi box, only to be given a cdi box that connectors are different, new box is for a 500 sportsman. Long story short, for a reason I don’t know, I unplugged the center wire out of the original cdi box, and viola, enough spark to give you a jolt.
Now if you lookn at the cylinder of the bike it has a 500 cylinder, i am assuming it is a 400 bottom end with a 500 top end on it, hence the reason the new cdi box connectors are different, how can I identify if it is a 500, or a 400 with a 500 top end or is it possible to put a 500 top end on the 400 bottom end. I also have a clutch rattle, was going to rebuild the clutch but don’t know if its a 500, a 400, EBS or non EBS.

Any suggestions cause the dealership I asked to run the VIN said the cant tell me about clutches or answer any question I asked.

Best price on OEM parts.

Looking to replace the outer clutch cover bearing on my Hawkeye. Everywhere but one place I’ve looked as wanted half the cost of the part or more for shipping. I’m not paying twice the price for a bearing to have it shipped to me.

So, where have you found the best price (shipping included) on OEM parts?

New here

Hey folks, I’m brand new here, but not brand new myself.I’m 64 years old and have ridden one 4 wheeler in my life, but now find that I need one. I will have many questions, I’m sure.
As a fact I have one now but I will post it in the regular forum section.
