Are products marketed as non flammable fuel safe to carry?

Extra fuel, safety fuel and magic fuel are three of the "Miracle Fuels" that I am aware of. While they may not be flammable they are still combustible and as such some caution should be exercised with them. I have searched to no avail for material safety data sheets on these products. This info seems to be as elusive as real world consumer data as to its performance and safety, good or bad. We know some of the dangers that gasoline pose, but do we really know how safe these alternative fuels are to transport and use in our RZR’s? Without hard data on an alternative fuel product would you be willing to try it? If the manufacturer of any of these products state that you can carry it in the trunk of a car, does that mean that it is ok to transport it over top of my HOT engine? After all it is still combustible right? Just because you can’t light it with a match, wouldn’t it still create a fire hazard if it leaked out all over the hot bed and engine components? Would it burn up if leaked out and heated up to a certain flash point? So maybe not flammable like gas in the trunk of a car, but maybe not so safe to be transporting in the RZR over a HOT engine? Where is the hard data on these products? Flammable or combustible it will burn and it is still a fuel. One just requires a higher flash point to burn, right? Pretty sure any leaking fuel stored over top of engine would be a disaster just waiting to happen. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope it helps you to decide if carrying any kind or type of fuel over the top of the HOT engine in your RZR is worth the increased risk of FIRE.

Honda Rancher

OEM bumper interchangeble 07-13?

I bought a used 2010 Rancher 420 a couple weeks ago. Noticed when looking at it before buying that the front bumper was bent a little and the plastic cover was cracked up the middle. I wasn’t worried about it then because the bumper covers cracking seems to be a common occurrence, and a new cover would hide the dents in the bumper. It on the trailer on the way home I noticed that the front plastic seemed to be tilted a little, and while it hurts nothing it bugs me when I see it. After checking it over a bit more today I noticed that the bumper is bent a little more than I thought and that their is a strut that supports the front plastic and headlight that is bent back and up. Like I said it hurts nothing, but I’m going to be a bit anal about it and its going to get fixed.

I’ve seen a few used bumpers for 07-08 models, but none for the 09+ yet. I’ve seen that their is a part number change for 2009 and later, which from my understanding has to do with a rear frame change to support the IRS. If I have to buy new I can find the 07-08 bumper for a good bit less than the 09+ part. Am I correct in thinking that the front of the frame the same where the bumper connects? Can I install an 07-08 bumper on a 2010 frame?

Months ago, just before the snow hit, I posted up some questions regarding engine braking and how mine didn’t seem quite right.

I got a lot of advice and although I had to wait out the snows (needed to plow) and some early spring projects, I finally completed the job today with the help of a friend.

New one way bearing, EPI purple spring, 1.5mm shim, and a new No Toil air filter done today.

I do notice a difference in the low end with the shim.
Haven’t been out to ride any hills for engine braking test yet. We are planning a trip to Attica (Badlands) IN, in the near future.:peace:

low compression 2008 rzr 800

hey I have a 2008 rzr 50 inch trail edition , new top end (wiseco) stock compression ratio ,with valve job and 4 new valves last year on labor day less than 700 miles on it since , 40 psi in one cylinder 80 in the other cylinder no oil burning it runs rich the digital wrench cleared all of the codes after installing a new crank sensor the digital wrench said it was bad ,no dust in the motor no dust in throttle body it seems like it was using coolant but I did have a small leak from the cab heater ,I still have not done a wet compression test yet im thinking head gasket but no overheating issues so Im not sure any ideas and input would be great
