School me on winch maintenance- had a great weekend!
Had both of my quads out on the trails this past weekend and we hit some deep mud and water. I don’t recall using my winch submerged, but no less, I’m curious if I should be doing some sort of maintenance on it.
Are we supposed to tear these apart and clean/lube the gears or what?
With that out of the way, I’m rather happy with these winches (3500 Max). I put a 30L battery in my quads and I’m positive the extra available power helped the performance considerably. At one point, I was pulling myself AND my friend out of a mud hole and the winch did it like a champ! Didn’t even use a snatch block- straight line pull on the first or second wrap. Couldn’t be happier. Did a TON of winching and my battery light only came on once.

Sooo, I’m planning on heading down to king knob wv this weekend for Memorial Day and my birthday.. Just got my stereo system installed and spacers will be put in tommorow. However, just pulled it into the garage and upon take off I hear a clunking noise like something flopping loose more towards the rest end. Somewhere behind the seats.. Stopped and took off a few times and it did it every time. Took it for a spin, noise is only on take off. If I could describe it it sounds like rocks in a bucket getting tossed around almost. Kings Knob is 4 hours from home and I don’t really want to go clear down there just to break but then again I really want to go lol. Could this be just a minor problem or maybe some of you guys know what it is.. I have a gut feeling it’s something with the clutch but it’s so hard to tell. Please give me some answers!! Lol

2010 grizzly 700 Rev limiter at 50kmph
I recently put a clutch kit in my bike. not sure of shim size or colour spring. but it was for 28s. last weekend the clutch filled up with water and I had to get drug out. the bike didn’t quit or anything. no water in oil. air filter is now cleaned. I didn’t realize the belt was slipping till it wasn’t moving anymore. if I smoked the belt off of it, could that mess with the Rev limiter?
new from arizona fuel leak
2005 sportsman 500 the fuel shut off is leaking. does this just unscrew from the tank to replace it? I cant find any info on how to replace it, or if it just needs a new gasket. Any help appreciated. Lots of good info here.

Tie Rod Ends Upgrade?
I am wondering if i can get some advice on upgrading my stock tie rod ends. I see they have these available and i would assume they have less moving parts than OEM ones where the bolts go through. They say they will fit my 2000 SP 500. Would these work and thread onto my stock rods? I seem to have play with the bolts.
