95 425 Magnum – Stalls in Gear

So I am working on my Father’s quad and hoping to get some help. It’s a 95 425 Magnum 4×4 and it acts like the clutch is engaged all the time? I start it in neutral and it runs / idles good however as soon as I put it in gear it starts moving and will stall if I stop it once in gear. I changed the belt but that had no effect on the symptoms and it happens in both 2WD & AWD. Not sure what to do from here. I looked through a manual I downloaded but couldn’t find anything about clutch adjustment. Has anyone done this before?
Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

Outlander footwell water spray – solved

Hey everyone thought I would post this for anyone else who wants an easy fix for your right ankle getting sprayed by water anytime going through at speed.

It will not interfere with changing fluids or regular maintenance, bolt it on and forget about it (except enjoy dry ankles)

This required NO modifications at all to my ATV. I used stock bolt holes (one of the holes was used to hold the original water pump vent tube via zip-tie through the hole. However I vented my water pump up to the console. I fabricated the spray guard out of a piece of 1/8" thick "L" steel then spray coated it with truck bed liner spray. I used two bolts with nylon lock nuts. No disassembly of my ATV was required at all to add this.

As you can see this bracket makes no contact with any part of the ATV other than where it attaches to the frame.

This photo makes it easier to identify where exactly I installed my bracket as you can see the water pump vent tube.

I used a piece of 3" x 1", 1/8" thick "L" bracket steel. The bracket dimensions are 3" high, 3 1/4" wide (with a notch cut out at top right and slight angle cut on top left), the bottom "L" part is a total of 4 3/4" long with 1 1/2" of that sticking past to the right with two holes drilled for the bolts.

Total time (not including letting the bed liner spray dry) dedicated to making and installing this was about 15 – 20 minutes. Simple, easy solution that completely eliminates the getting soaked ankles every puddle you hit.

Hope this helps!:)

Beaconia Manitoba Outlander 650 Max XT Newbie

Hello everyone!
Just became the thrilled new owner of a mint 650 Max XT with only 430km. It is my first foray into the quad scene after riding a Honda 250SX t Ike for all these years. I will never have anything bad to say about my trike which is still in the driveway but am excited about different opportunities ahead on an equally fine product by Can-Am.

I found this forum looking for an answer to the winch not working properly and look forward to ideas and suggestions from everyone moving forward to enhance what I think is a spectacular machine purchased after much reading and consideration.

My wife wanted to start joining me on the trails with other neighbours so we will both be enjoying the benefits.

Thanks for letting us be part of the forum.:th_smiliedance:
