86 Honda foutrax 125 help

Hello all, new here and have a few questions about a barn find I pick up last week. I found a 125 in a barn sitting several years. Guy said he couldn’t get it running at all thought timming. I offered him 200 bucks and brought it home.
I drained the gas washed inside of the tank, took off the carb and cleaned it best to my knowledge and put new gas with sea foam in it. Started right up. But it will only run ok on full choke. Could it be carb problems, jets float? Thought about taking the jets out but not sure if there’s a ceartin way putting them back in? Also little oil dripping onto the starter but can’t really tell from where. Any help on obvious spot it would leak from? Thanks in advance for the help

Melted Plastic!! Brand new 1000XP bought yesterday 8/20/16 One day old!

We bought a brand new Sportsman 1000XP yesterday 8/21/2016. This morning "8/22/2016" we went riding around our property just very moderate riding for about 15 mins. The wife said her right leg was getting very hot and she smelled something burning. So we stopped and got off, that’s when we found the rear fender and side fairing melted. I also found the muffler glowing cherry red.

So it’s going back to the dealer with 4miles on the odometer and melted plastic!

My question is if they replace the fairing, it’s probably going to happen again…. So what options do I have?? Can I simply add a aftermarket slip on exhaust and this will eliminate the heat or do I take other measures & let Polaris fix it.

I’ve included a few pictures of the damage.

What would you guys do??? Thanks for your time!

700 Drive clutch shaft end play

Did a search and found a couple of dead end threads so hoping someone can give me an answer. Have a 07 700 that I added 1.5mm of shim to the drive clutch and rode about 30 miles. Seemed to work fine but the next day I started it and heard a ticking noise from the clutch area so I pulled it apart and found that the drive clutch was contacting the cage. I know it wasn’t doing it before and I didn’t notice the end play but really didn’t check for it either but maybe with the shim added it is now enough to make contact or would it be unrelated?
There is about 30 thou movement and I could just relive the cage for clearance if this isn’t a issue but don’t want to keep running if there is a problem with the inner bearing on the wet clutch side.
I took a short video but cant post the you tube link until I have 10 posts so if you want to see copy paste c8K987EORCs into youtube search.

thanks in advance

Water in 2016 Kodiak gas tank

I just picked up a 2016 Yamaha Kodiak 700 EPS and I’ve gone on two rides now and both times I’ve gotten water in my gas tank. I haven’t swamped it or anything, but I have gone pretty deep. Just somehow keeps getting in there. Has anybody had this happen? What’s the issue?
Thanks, Jake
