Max 2 Up Heating Grip Install – Stripped Torx

For my birthday I got the Can AM 2 up heated grips for our Outty Max. Going through the instructions it looked pretty simple and straight forward. Well…then I go and strip the torx bolts that hold the handle in place :th_smiliepissed:. Seeing as a new set of bolts come in the kit it seems that they know they’re not going to come out easy.

Any tips of getting these suckers out now?

Shop fan /blower

I learned something today about blower fans , I got a blower fan off a demo job and it would shut down after 10 minutes , then after cooling down restart and run for another 10 minutes and repeat that cycle —–was talking with a HAV friend and he told me that I need a baffle to put some back pressure on the fan , said it would pull more amps with no restriction , so I looked around the yard for some sheet metal and found this aluminum plate with a hole cut out of it , bungie corded the plate in front the fan , it fit perfect and it stopped the shut down problem , it ran for 2 hours yesterday evening without shutting down , it also increased the air flow speed ———-I wonder how many people have trashed their blower boxes for the same reason

2016 Rubicon Winch and Plow

I’m a new member to the forum, but am a long time Honda owner. I will be picking up my new 2016 Rubicon DCT EPS this Friday and have a couple of questions.

The dealer that I am going through recommended a 54" Eagle plow. I have zero experience with Eagle plows, as my plow on my Rancher was a Cycle Country. I’ve heard good things about them and my dealer can get me whatever plow I want, but he said the Eagle’s, in his opinion are a better built plow than the other brands that he sells. What are your thoughts on Eagle plows vs the other brands?

Also, I’m in need of winch advice. Again, he can get pretty much any winch I want and he again suggested the Eagle and also the Warn brand winches, both in 2500lb. He said that the Eagle is about half the price and they have had good luck with them on the machines he has put them on. I am again open to advice on different brands based on your experiences.

2006 Bruin 4×4 dies at idle, needs choke on

Hey everyone, new member here. I’m helping a buddy with his 350 Bruin 4×4 that keeps dying. It won’t idle without the choke being kept on even when it’s warmed up. I’m guessing the carb’s dirty or out of adjustment, and I’ll bet the valves are probably way overdue for a clearance check too.

I’m trying to find a disassembly tutorial/sticky or video as a guide, any recommendations? Been looking thru the forums for topics on this but haven’t seen much. But as this is a fairly common task, I’m sure most of you would be a good source to ask. I’m pretty good with small engines and such, but I like to know what I’m in for before tackling one I haven’t done before. How are the Moose carb kits? Their part # for the ’06 350 Bruin 4×4 is 1003-0183, about $41. What are the basic adjustments during reassembly such as float setting, needle turns out from stops, etc? Anything else I should watch out for when doing the rebuild? Great to find such a busy forum with a lot of great knowledge going on. Thanks for your help!

Which Defender accessories to consider

I’m going to be in the market for a s x s but probably not until spring. I’m 95% sure I’m going with a HD10 XT CAB Defender. I plan eventually to put some tracks on it so I can use it year round. Some of the options I was thinking on would be the winch set up so you can use it both on the front and back, headache rack with the tool bar, power tilt bed.i was wondering if the power tilt is necessary or not. Also factory sound system and GPS,tho I was considering aftermarket for those two accessories. Any input would be appreciated.

Need detailed pics, 2005 sporty 800

New to the forum but have done a little work on a scrambler 500 and trail boss 330 that my grandparents own. Recently picked up a salvage title 2005 800 from Craigslist. It has broken lower mounts for rear a arms. Left and right side is broken/missing tabs on front facing mount. I just need to know what it is supposed to look like. I’m an experienced welder and fabricator. So no worries there. Also have $800 worth of goodies to bring it back to its former glory. Will only be a quick smooth trail machine, no mud, no jumps. The wife can ride the grizzly with eps and I’ll muscle the sporty around. Thanks in advance.

Honda TRX 200 Carb

Hello there:

Well, I got the bright idea to test my mechanical ability by getting a deal on a non-running 1984 Honda TRX 200.

After reading and watching a bunch of videos, I disassembled the carb and carefully scrubbed everything out and she’s looking pretty darn clean on the inside. (it was pretty bad when first opened though)

But after all the cleaning etc….fuel continues to leak out the breather tube on the side and from the bottom of the bowl.

From what I’ve read it seems like a float/float valve issue. I disassembled again and further cleaned and everything seems like it is seating fine. Can’t figure out a way to adjust the float itself as it’s just plastic in there.

One thing i did have an issue with is not being able to pop the tiny o ring out of the idle mixture screw….but the leak doesn’t seem to be coming there and the o ring on the bowl drain seems fine…..

Thinking new carb as they are about the same price as a rebuild kit. Any thoughts before I do this that I should look at?

Also, while on the subject of new carbs, it sure looks like the carbs off the ATC 200 trikes are identical but the part number is different. A rebuild video on youtube looked like it was fully identical.

Anyways, I ramble.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
