I have been wanting a 1000 Renegade for a while.. so I have come to the conclusion, why not just build one from the ground up the way I want it? Found many bare chassis online for pretty cheap with a title. I don’t want to keep modifying my 800 xmr and make it unreliable. I pretty much have it where I’m happy with it.
Here what I am thinking on a Gen 2 Gade. Bare chassis to start, 1000 Mav motor, Mav rear diff with Cfab brace kit, front diff with halo locker, I can source alot of the other stock parts used. Like DPS, harness, fuel tank ,etc etc. Probably a 4" lift, GP shocks, New plastics, and everything else I can upgrade.
Will be a slow project. What I am wondering about is the trans. Alot of people are putting the 6×6 trans in their mavs for the gear reduction. I’m wondering if the 6×6 trans has more gear reduction then the 800 xmr or 1k xmr?
What do u think? This would be a true monster. I would think it will be cheaper then buying a running Gade and tearing it down.
I am pretty sure I saw a post with Part #s, search as I might I can’t find it!! (going nuts I think!) I don’t care who makes ’em!! Just would like #s please!!
Im finally getting around to make my first Mod. 2015 650xt. I was trying to decided between Yoshimura exhaust or Mega Mayhems?? Can only do one for now, maybe a couple months before I get the ok from the wife to do more. What would you go with?? Mostly do trail/mud riding. Thanks for the input.
Hey all. Just registered with the forum. Looks like an insightful place. I’m from Livermore Maine. And just recently purchased a 15′ maverick. Nothin fancy but I like it so far. Still working on getting all the necessity’s winch, roof, windshield, tires, clutch kit. If you call all that necessary haah. Only thing I don’t like about it is the gauge isn’t back lit. Are they supposed to be? It’s not the x model.
05,660,4×4,grizzly starts fine , idles fine , but you get it warmed up good and it will backfire ,1time or it may backfire 5,6,7,8 times. then it goes for ? miles and do it again.dont matter if your getting on it or letting off it, random. havent tore into it yet bc i dont know where to start . thinkin valves or springs, gasket maybe,carb? thanks for your time.
Pulling the trigger on a rad relocate. RDC gets good reviews. They offer an XMR style that pivots for G1 machines. My question is does anybody with this style have problems with it loosening up while riding? I assume this type can be lowered into a low profile position which is what I’m looking for. Thank for any input.
