Engine Problems, need help bad!

So I’ve gotten an 07 renegade 800 that spun a connecting rod and fried the crank, rod, piston, and casing. Bought new everything from mrrpm and all went together really smoothly except I’m having problems with the engine head. Following a YouTube video (shanesoutty) + the manual for assembly my front camshaft seems to be backwards (the one above the oil filter) Got my engine on top dead center 1/1 and the gear can only go on to the cam backwards. I can’t turn the cam using it’s bolt more then a quarter turn and then it stops with half the springs compressed. Markings on my timing gear are upside-down so I’m assuming that won’t work. The other head cam turns freely by hand for about a quarter turn and if I use the bolt to turn it I can get it to rotate all the way around so that one seems alright. So what do you guys think is the problem? I have to get a new cam as I put on too much force trying to turn the cam and broke of the bolt head inside the cam.. But would a new cam fix my problem? Need to get it rotated 180 degrees for the lines on the timing gear to be level with the piston head.

Let’s talk LED Light bars.

Been looking into putting some small LED Light bars on my Polaris front bumper for when I really need the light at night. I would like to stay under $100.00 and something easy to install. I was at Wal-Mart the other day and found some small round LED lights with a switch and all wires to connect to the battery. About pulled the trigger but wanted to see what most are doing on here.

How much does a 650 motor weigh?

I’m considering sending the entire motor to one of the two big site sponsors and trying to figure out what shipping would be. If I can keep total weight under #100 then it can go regular UPS. Someone suggested it might fit in a cheap cooler chest which is a great idea plus it’s already light. Any real knowledge of what the assembled motor weighs?

I needed to replace my driveshafts joint and my local napa store didn’t have 338’s in stock so I went to my local tractor trailer supply and ended up using spicer 5-170x u joints , they were only $16 each as opposed to $25 from Napa BUT they had them in stock not a two week delivery

Vent Line (??) Question

I have a 2016 Grizzly 700 SE model. I went on a long ride with some buddies yesterday and got home last night and was checking everything over and noticed a small rubber tube (resembles vent/drain line) hanging out of the bottom right fender. It looks like it might have been held with a clip or zip tie and just broken loose. I traced it back and it comes out of the tube that connects the air intake to the top of the engine (it appears to be in the middle)…Does anyone know if this is just a vent line or something that can just be zip tied back up or is it important and needs to be reconnected some where?? I have tried to attach a picture but for some reason cannot seem to get it to attach.

I appreciate any responses or help I can get with this to help put my mind at ease! I have looked at every diagram I can find and have not been able to find the answer.

Engine brake problems?

Hello everybody.
I have a problem, some of you may help me with.

When driving constant in like 40 or 50 km/h, it feels like the engine brake gets in and out. So the speed is not constant.

What can be the problem?

I have upgraded the clutch to a CVTec, and installed a new belt. I also instaled a new helix and spring (OEM), because the old one was worn out.

Could it be engine brake or the brakes? There are no sound of squeeking brakes, so I find it hard to belive it is the brakes.
