’16 XMR 570 – Spark Plug change

New to the forum, new to ATVs in all… swamped the bike in the first couple of rides.

I’ve been able to get one plug out on the RH (Rear) cylinder, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get to the second plug LH (Front) short of disassembling the entire machine.

Is there some simple trick to accessing this plug that I just cant seem to find? Maybe I need to remove another component, but I’m not sure.

Any and all assistance would be great at this point, I’m probably in over my head ahaha

stumped

So I just did a top end rebuild on my 03 400ex new piston, cylander aftermarket cam without the compression mech and all new valves n seals etc. I didnt bore it out I just swapped it for new. Had a crazy tick to it bent valve but figured while I.had it open mine as well do the whole top.
The rest of the bike is stock from what I was told when I.bought it and from what I can see. This is my first rebuild I am familiar with engines for the most part as I do work on cars often. I got it all back together and have a little smoke but figured it was just oil burning off the top end as the smoke is coming from there. So I did a compression test just to see what I got. I’m at 160psi pretty high in my opinion. But the bike runs well better then it did before the rebuild. I havnt riden it much since I just did the rebuild yesterday and I’m starting the break in process or gonna start it. Do I have to mess with the.carbs now? Why is my compression high any help would be appreciated. Small engine then what I’m use to working on maybe forgetting something or missing.something.

Only 3 tires spin

I have a 2004 polaris sportsman 500 h.o. if I put it in 4×4 only 3 tires work. The front right doesn’t work. So I checked the hub and it was bone dry and dirty. I put the quad on Jacks and put it in 4×4 to see what it was doing and the front right axle spins but the hub doesn’t. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Options for CV/Stick Guards ?

I’m looking for Stick Guards for two quads.. A ’13 Foreman 500 4×4, SRA and a ’13 Rancher 420 Auto, IRS. Aluminum products make a set not terribly expensive (Installed a full set on my ’02 Foreman years ago) and I know Ricochet (Have a full set on my 570) makes a nice set.

Who else makes them and who’s set is the best "bang for the buck" ?

I’m trying to keep from spending a mint on getting these two quads set up..

Thanks guys.

On the dunes with a new 1000Xxc

So I was out on my first run in the dunes with the machine and it worked perfect! Plenty of power, didn’t feel like it was rolling over like the Outlander and very comfortable. I was surprised to see the stock tires on the back were getting the corners sanded off! All of the nobs in the middle of the tire have the tread knocked bucket a 45 degree about 3/8" down. We went back in town and bought paddle tires and rims. Still did great in the dunes and was fun to ride all day. I could go anywhere I wanted and my boys on the DS 250 and DS 90X were having a ball. Can’t wait to get out in the desert in a few weeks and hit the miles of trails over there!

Removing stock warning decals

What does everyone use to take off the adhesive residue that does not damage plastics? I’ve used goof off, rubbing alcohol, denatured alcohol, some store bought sticker adhesive remover, and nothing really works well. It seems that some of the stuff can cloud the plastic so I test everything on inside wheel well first. Those warning decals are just plain ugly.
