I want to go mudding tonight and tomorrow.. plz help asap if you had this issue..
I have a 2011 Sportsman 850 xp Touring with only 260 miles and last weekend I busted both the stock cv’s and ordered 2 new front Rhino axles from SuperAtv. Omg super Fast Shipping..!
My stock axles came with 2 axle retainer washers and the Rhino’s came with 1 washer. While installing the new Rhino axle with the 1 retainer washer in the right direction, I torqued the axle nut to 80 ft. lbs. and noticed that the brake disc wasn’t spinning as I was torquing the retainer nut.
Once I loosened the retainer nut the axle started to spin roughly by hand and noticed that the cv housing appears to be to big for the spindle which caused the black paint to rub off the cv housing.
I don’t want to install the other axle and have the same issue.
So I have a 1998 Grizzly 600. Just did a pretty large maintenance on it (I think at least).
including, a brand new carb, new gas, new spark plug, etc etc…
So I decided to take it out for a spin, and it SEEMS to idle just fine, and it runs just fine in low and high gear and reverse etc..
BUT it doesn’t seem to have a top end, if i’m in "high" and I full throttle it, it powers up just fine..but I can barely spin the tires. and in "high" I would say the top speed is…maybe 30mpg..
things it might be: maybe my new thottle cable needs adjusting? I’m not sure..
One other thing to note: I am installing a snorkel on it, using 2" ID tubing, and its currenlty 2-2.5ft long with 1 90degree turn.
From all the reading I’ve been doing on snorkeling it, that SHOULDN’T be a issue…but thought I’d mention it.
I would like your opinion on air filter options for a 2016 grizzly 700. I read many bad comments online on this stock air filter design, and I found an R2C Performance extreme series air filter online from rocky mountain ATV, and wanted to hear your opinions on this filter and any others. Also the airbox lid seal which somehow went missing after my 20 hour service at dealership is a sure pain to keep in place! I assume my dealership ordered the correct seal for me..Im about ready to give up on keeping it in place. It seems too long. I hear of some others using silicone to seal the lid to the box(without using the seal)..are any of you members doing this? Thank you all in advance for your advice.
I sold my Raptor 700 over a month ago and immediately placed an order for a Scrambler 1000. It finally came in today and I pick it up tomorrow. Can’t wait! My wife has a new Scrambler 850 which is great so the 1000 should be even better. :headbang:
I have a 99 foreman 400 that I bought new from the dealer as a leftover in 2001 at 17 yrs old. It’s been a great machine but it’s now got close to 13k miles on it and nearly as many hours and I’ve been thinking of trading up. I really like the 500 pioneers because I ride very tight trails here in Kentucky and they are nearly the same width as the quads at 50 inches. I also like it because I think it can handle a Deer better. I won’t buy anything else but Honda so no Razr either . I like to get 10 plus years out of these things
The only concerns I have is will it have the same get up and go as my foreman has being that it’s only 100cc more with nearly twice the weight? Id like it to be atleast competitive to the foreman in terms of acceleration and pulling ability. I’d also like to add a 27 to 28 inch tire so how is the gearing? It appears to be low enough to spin them from what I have gathered but you never know what the real world will bring.
I pick up my new to me toy hauler tomorrow morning. I bought a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab, 5.3l, 4×4, 8′ box with 37 thousand kilometres. I really wish it was tomorrow.
I’ve just ordered a 60" DR mower to pull behind my 2016 Rubicon…. I’ve got some pretty good hills to mow and riding mowers weren’t cutting it (20-25 degree slopes), no pun intended.
I read up on Kunz, Swisher, and DR…. The 3 big names…. I really like the Kunz, just not the price, the Swisher has its good points too but I don’t like the way the offset works on the tongue, it looks weak and apt to get bent…. So I got the DR, a big selling point for me was the pressurized oil system with a pump, filter, and an oil level sensor…. A must for mowing steeper hills, engines don’t last long when they’re not getting oil where they need it.
I’m probably gonna get a set of turf tires and wheels too…. Spoke to Rocky Mtn. ATV about that today, but I’m gonna wait and see just how bad the stock tires tear things up first.
I proposed them after getting your feedback. I said they were coming. So we’re going to have full sets and also an add-on layer set that you can put on your existing Ricochets!
This is my first post! I have a 2011 big bear and was wondering how to wire my 10in light bar to the high beam lights? No very good with wiring thanks in advance!
