Hello I just purchased a 2013 Rancher ES and I’m looking to install a winch. I know the Honda winch kit plugs into the accessory plug looking at the instructions buy the inner fender well area. I know the newer 2014+ have a plug near the radiator. I didn’t get a chance to look at it. This week I will look closer at the plug on the 2013, but I read that nothing was plug into it either. But does anybody know if the 2014 plug is the same style connection? I’m guessing not. But it looks like I can put the 12 volt accessory plug which comes with a plug that I can probably lop off the end and hard wire the winch switch to that plug. But the kit is about 40 dollars and the 2014 pigtail is around 10 dollars. I’m just trying to make it look clean and I hate splicing into the factory harness.
I should mention that I’m looking to piece my own kit together. 500 dollars is crazy for the honda winch kit, when you can buy the stuff separately for half that or less, it just doesn’t have the plug and play stuff.
I was out riding my trx450 a couple weeks ago and it ran fine. The following week I had a hard time getting it to start, then every time I let go of the throttle it acted like the throttle cable was sticking. So I took a look at that but it wasn’t the problem then I looked at the slide in the carb and its not sticking either. I had to reshim my intake valves a couple weeks ago because they tightened up, so I went ahead and checked the clearances and found out they tightened again, I’m going to replace the valves next week. Is it the valves causing the hanging rev, what else would cause this?
I need a front strut. My buddy has a strut from a 2002 scrambler and mines a 1999 are they the same strut? Looks the same but I noticed the part numbers are different.
Sports cars, fast street cars, track cars, motorcycles speed or cruisers, anyone a gear head on here?
Post some photos and a give us a run down on it. Know someone of you guys have got to into something else that has wheels?
I always get asked what I want for my birthday and can never think of anything that I could actually use that is a fair price.. I was thinking about throwing a GPS on my list. I would like one that is fairly easy to use and read, but can also be mounted onto my handlebars and take a little beating. Prefer waterproof incase I get caught in the rain.
What have you guys had and what are the PROS and CONS?
