I am new to owning atvs. I just recently bought a 2006 outlander 800 xt. It came with the heated grips but the guy also gave me the heated throttle stuff that he never installed. I have looked and I am not seeing how the wiring goes if anyone has had any experience with installing these I would appreciate the help. The heated throttle switch is made by moose I think.

Does anyone have any experience with Black Oak light products?

Looks like they are attempting to take some market share from Rigid. Specs and quality appear top notch. Price point is quite attractive.

I pulled the trigger on a 10" DR curved combo with the 5W osram LED’s.

I live in Canada, and shipping was free (very uncommon from US).

I’ve got a 2016 650 Max XT on the way, and was going to order some skids while I wait for it to arrive. I don’t want to get another war started regarding the virtues of one brand vs. the next, or plastic vs. aluminum. There is plenty out there on that. My question is related to the installation itself and the hardware that is supplied.

So, for the plastic skids offered from the various brands (BRP, IB, etc):

1 – What hardware is supplied with each brand? Pluses and minuses of the hardware supplied?

2 – Installation….does one brand have the reputation for being easier or more difficult to install compared to the next?

3 – Any other comments regarding hardware or installation/instructions, etc?

I am doing a rebuild of a 05 Honda Rubicon. I am nearly complete with the engine. I am replacing the mainshaft bearing in the rear cover using a hollow blind bearing remover. However in the process the boss on the rear cover in the ID of the bearing broke off. This boss does not appear to support the main shaft but I suspect it helps to control the flow of oil. Does anybody know the function of this boss? I am tempted to go ahead and install thinking the boss might be for another engine model with a purpose. Any thoughts?

Hello everybody. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but I am new to this whole forum thing. I recently picked up an 85 Fourtrax 250 for a great price. The guy said it randomly stopped shifting so I bought it and figured the clutch just needed adjusting. I got it home and adjusted the clutch adjuster on the right side case according to the manual. The problem isn’t fixed so I don’t know where to go next. I have heard it run and it is in very nice condition. However the shifter seems to "sag" a little bit. When you shift it either up or down, it clicks like it’s going in gear, but it’s not. It clicks infinitely both up or down. I think maybe it’s stuck either in or between gears maybe? Because of this issue the neutral light won’t come on so I can’t start it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I pulled the bank angle sensor off of my 2007 rancher 420 and shook it in my ear and it sounded like there was water in it so I bought a new (used) one from eBay and it sounds the same. In all the videos I watched about it nothing showed anything about fluid in them. Is it suppose to be like that?? Did I get screwed??

Evening all, 1st post newbie to the forum here. I am a recent convert to ATV’s and sld off all my snowmobiles to do it. Winters are just too unreliable here in Maine. Anyhow, have an enclosed trailer I am going to transport my Polaris and Yamaha with, but I want to put the Honda in the bed of my truck. I see there are tons of ramps available. I was inspecting the cvt belt etc.. and after i took the belt off l noticed that the cvt Driven clutch cover moves up and down some if i grab the shaft and shake it. Is that normal?

Also i was wondering what brand carb everyone buys to replace the existing one when its trash?
Also i am deleting the 2stroke oil reservoir and running mix 40:1 in the gas tank. Can i just leave the hose the runs to the oil pump alone zip tied or should i remove it and use a rubber vacuum cap to block it off?
And my last question, what topend rebuild kits are good for these things?
