What tool to cut swingarm pivot bolt/no clearance?

Read just about every thread. Seen all the you tube videos. Tried pb blaster(soaked for days), hammering, heating, etc. It is NOT coming out and won’t turn.
I have a porter cable grinder and put a4" cutting disc on it. I also have a air powered cut off tool from harbor freight (central pneumatic I think). That has a 3" disc on it. I removed the shock and took the2 bolts out that let the rear part of the frame fold up for more access. No matter what I try it seems like there is no clearance. The body of tyre tool is hitting the quad or the cutting action will go into the case or swingarm. Same with a reciprocating saw ( not enough clearance). I’m almost through but if I keep going , I’ll cut into the swingarm or case. .any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Port &polish

I know this is a often asked question but I really just want a decent answer if possible ..got a friend who has a friend who does a lot of port work he told me he would give me a extra head an port an polish it for me for 150 I hear he’s really good an a very trustworthy guy what kinda Gains should be seen over my stock 400ex head 5hp? An does this actually do the atv any good like longitivity wise or does it more less add performance an hurt the engine

Steel wheels- how do they hold up?

I am considering upgrading to a nice set of aluminum wheels on my sportman.

i am brand new to owning a atv….how well do the steel wheels hold up? i dont plan on much winter (salt) riding………

ive found some factory take offs for around $800 w/ new tires to upgrade my look and keep it looking factory, but im not sure if my new wheels will look beat to hell in a season anyways and im best off keeping the factory steel wheels instead

2016 sportsman touring 570 eps

paid $7,699 for a 16 sportsman touring 570 eps (price included freight and setup)…

pricing was difficult to figure because most dealers advertise a price and dont include the $600-700 they want for setup and freight…..i felt $1k off sticker was good w/o the setup/freight, so i bought….on the way out the door i had another dealer call and tell me they could have easily beat that price (this was a dealer who blew me off in the morning when i called on some 2015 leftovers)….so i dont know if i got a good deal or not……

i found some 2015’s on line where the title of the add said 1 price, but when you clicked it was $400 more inside the ad…..when i called the dealer they would not honor the price on the title and said they also had a $700 setup fee which made it more than the 2016 i got..

not overly thrilled with white…..was considering the non power steering green, but my wife and kids will be driving it also and felt it was worth $900 more for it…..worried white will look horrible once its all scratched up…wish Polaris gave 2 color options on each model……………either way its still a beautiful machine..even in white

did i get a fair deal or hosed?

New from WI

bought a 2016 Sportsman 570 touring eps yesterday

waiting for a trailer to be made, so i cant take delivery for 2 weeks

Live in Waukesha Co & just bought 40 acres near Westfield, WI area and am hoping to find some trails in between….thought there would be some, but im having a heck of a time finding them…in Adams Co there is Dyracuse mound recreation area..its further north than the property, but plan on checking it out….did not research where to go with it before purchasing (realtor told us they are everywhere in Adams co(so far i dont see it))…our land has trails, but its pretty flat.

so if anyone knows of a trail system or place to go between waukesha co and adams co let me know?

Thanks!
Dave

2011 Trailblazer 330 Rear axle housing bearings

I’m replacing the rear housing bearings on my sons machine. I got all the parts and when I put in the new bearing cups, bearings and seal in the new housing there is room between the bearing and seal. Should this be like this or should I have only gone part way with the new cups so the cup, bearing and seal are all snug? I would think you should drive the cup all the way to the lip inside the housing but this room has me wondering. Any advice would be great!

Stator wires

Hi, New to this forum but need some help. I have a 2008 Sportsman 500 HO with carburetor. I just replaced the stator but the new stator has one different connection. The connector with the three yellow wires coming from the stator is different from the old stator. I can splice the new three yellow wires into the old connector and use it to plug into the existing plug on the machine, but not sure which yellow wires to connect. I assume the middle would go to middle, but the two sides are the issue. Anyone know if it matters or how to figure it out? Thanks.
