Will a stretched timing chain cause heating issues I’ve noticed my cam chain is stretch bc I can damn near max out the tensioner I’m gunna replace the chain later this afternoon but could it be That ?

Annoying tick seems to get faster wen I get on the throttle
Valves in spec an I’ve replaced the timing chain I have the manual adjuster

Will a port and polish job on my ex help with cooling

Oil leaking from the front bolt on my 400ex the front one near the exhaust flange on the right side ? Just slight drips but it’s very annoying any fix solution

I know this is a often asked question but I really just want a decent answer if possible ..got a friend who has a friend who does a lot of port work he told me he would give me a extra head an port an polish it for me for 150 I hear he’s really good an a very trustworthy guy what kinda Gains should be seen over my stock 400ex head 5hp? An does this actually do the atv any good like longitivity wise or does it more less add performance an hurt the engine

So here’s my issue guys an gals
, obviously the ex runs a little hot but mines running pretty damn hot
I did do the big bore an I actually am still working on jetting but getting there I think the issue may be the oil cooler mod I done like it maybe a lil to big causing I would gues slow circulation what do u guys think.. I installed my spal so I don’t mind ridding the extra oil cooler

Got an extra head for 50 bucks valves seems to b great guy had 2 motors with bad bottoms problem is 2 valves cove bolts were swapped wen he got it supposedly an they were tightened to the point where ther went through side of the head can anyone tell me what to do about that plans are send the head off for a port an polish but first thing is fix this issue its just far enough to see the bolt sticking out
