New to GC!

Hi everyone, new member here from Ontario Canada. I don’t have a grizzly right now, but I have a new one coming in two weeks, I bought the dealer demo and he can not release it until July 15. It is a 2016 Grizzly EPS SE in the metallic grey, very stoked for this new ride! My current atv is a 1993 Kawasaki 400 Bayou, so it will be a HUGE upgrade for me! I have passed the old Bayou on to my 15 year old son and he is pretty proud to have his own atv! My wife has a Hinda, but I will try to not hold that against her.

Any insight you may have for me in regards to my new ride would be appreciated, I have swapped out the stock tires for a set of Zilla’s, will also add a "drivers resting area" travel box to the back rack, RAM mount for my Garmin GPS, Kimpex Klick and Go 2 snow plow and maybe some auxiliary lights too. Got a set of Kimpex Commander all season tracks on order for it too that I will pick up in the fall…going to have some winter fun!

2″ spring spacer question

Installed a 2" billet aluminum spacers I got off ebay today, Can Am Bombardier Outlander 2" Lift Kit 650 800 Fits All Can Am ATV's LK 00 | eBay.During the install I I set the shock preload at the half way mark, I have been riding it with the preload set as high as it would go, well once I was done with the install I could tell that the suspension was way soft. Rode it around some and kept adjusting the preload until I maxed it out once again but when braking the front still dives more then it did before the spacers. I thought the theory behind the spacers was to stiffen the ride, from what I have read about other installs it seems like they run with the preload at its lowest setting once spacer are used.

In case any one cares, I rented a spring compressor from the auto parts store which worked but was a real pain in the rear. The tool is too big for the ATV springs and would drag on the shock body so bad that once the spring was compressed enough to remove the cap I had to release the spring tension to free up the shock and slide it out of the spring then put the shock back inside the spring and retention it. Scrapped a few patches of paint off my shocks during the process.

For $20 the spacers seem to be a good deal, saved me from having to cut pipe or fittings to make them. The spacers did raise my rear height 2 inches and the front about 11/2 inch. ATV is noticabley higher when I get on it and my small 26" tires still have plenty of room.

I was hopping the spacers would stiffen the suspension and keep the ATV from squatting so bad when riding 2 up, I’m not a small guy about 320 lbs so when I add another rider I’m pushing 500 pounds of rider weight.

You can’t keep a good honda down….

Back story,
Bought this off craigslist several months ago. Pushed it off trailer beside barn and left it till now. Guy said it ran but smokes, I decided to pull it into the shop and tinker on it last night. Low and behold the first push of the starter fired it up. Then I found this….LOL

I’m not sure how it was even running. To top it off this is the quietest smoothest 300 motor I have ever heard.

Left rear tire lean

I have a 2007 Sportsman 700. I have recently replaced the bearings, springs, tires and rims. I noticed a slight cant inward on top of the left rear tire as looking at it. I noticed it a little while back but thought it was maybe my old mud tires. I have pulled tire and dont notice play, have checked castle nut on hub and my shock mounts. The A arms are not bent. Any suggestions or if you have had this problem. I am thinking i just need to replace the bushings. Thanks for any assistance.

9 year old bottle of PS4 oil- different part number??

I have a quart bottle of this I had around in case of needing to add oil- never needed to add any. Always bought 2 quart jug since then so this bottle has been sitting around. There is no viscosity listed on this bottle and part number is different. Is it save to use on my next oil change with a quart of the new 5w50? Or is it a drastically different oil?
