Rear diff leak 04 foreman rubicon

We just bought a used 2004 foreman rubicon 500 a couple weeks ago. Yesterday I notice diff fluid on the garage floor. I’ve read that it may be the seal or a vent that leaks if too much diff fluid was added. The fluid was fairly clear and clean, looked new. Can you guys tell me where that vent is and how to check? This is our first atv so I don’t know much. Thanks

1989 TRX300FW Fourtrax timing issue

Good day fellow honda riders. I am new to this forum thing so please help me out if I have done something wrong.
My issue is – I had my cylinder bored 2 sizes over put in new rings and piston.
Got it up and running but noticed a noise that sounded funny coming from I believe is the top end.
So I checked the timing again and I did follow the manual for setting up the timing. I actually removed the valve cover to see what was going on with the cam. I rotated the motor until the T was lined up with the mark for TDC. Both lobes were down on the cam. This is correct. I removed the plug and inserted a small screwdriver and low and behold when I turned the crank the piston continued to rise for approx. 10-15 degree turn of the crank.
So in saying that the TDC does not occur when the T timing mark is lined up with the mark. How is that possible???? Please help

New to forum

Hey guys n gals…new to the forum but been wheelin for years. Ive been looking at this forum for about a week and from what ive seen theres some good folks on here and alot of knowlege as well. I have a few machines,a 1984 Honda 200x( Honda guy at heart, dont hate me…lol…i know a lil bout old hondas so any ?? just ask) 88 230 quadrunner,84 honda 200s( bonecrusher ) and my newest purchase,a 1998 Polaris 250 Trailblazer. I got it for $300,needed ALOT of love, such as a gearbox, which the previous owner lost the shift fork and reverse gear and tried to rig it for forward only(what a mess) Didnt have a shifter so i made one. Didnt even try and start it,I went ahead and honed cyl and put new rings, bottom end bearings and seals, rebuilt the carb, flushed oil tank and fuel, put it together and it runs great!! Well enought of my blabberin and thank you for having me.

The wife got lazy,so,I bought her this for the quad trailer.

A Brutt 3000 electric jack for the tongue of our quad trailer.
Bought it from Etrailer.com, they are great people to give my hard earned money to, they are located in Missouri.
The wife always had the duty to raise and lower the hand crank jack that the trailer came with, on the John Deere garden tractor front trailer ball and or the truck ball.
She has been complaining for a while now, so, I said I would treat her to a nice addition to the quad trailer))
Life is so much better now, knowing she is happier while performing her duties.
With my added battery on the trailer, it was a synch hooking up the power.
I also built a dolly that the jack pad sits in, we can spin the 14 foot trailer around the drive way and garage like nothing at all.
Please, lets not get this thread locked also((((
I still need to paint it red as soon as I get to it, no, no orange on this trailer 😉
Haven’t you all given me enough s**t.

Compression

Hey everyone I’ve a 1993 350cc Polaris 4X4 it’s has new piston and rings, had the head sized for the new piston and rings. I tried a compression test on it today and it’s running 100 psi and I’m just wondering what could be the problem for it running so low? Any advice would be great cheers 🙂

05 400ex driving me nuts

Ok guy and gals im in need of any and all opinions here. This quad has been a tuning nightmare since the rebuild and cam and cdi. My mods are in my signature.

Starting from the beginning.
After i did all the mods i trial and errored some jetting and i landed on a 185 main jet needle one clip down and a 42 pilot at around 2-2 1/4 turns out. Started cold great. Had an annoying idle hang once it was warmed up and while i was riding. And it seemed like it was getting really hot on the engine on long trail rides. Classic lean pilot symptoms. I tried turning mixture screw out more around 3 turns out and it ran no better just seemed to lose some off idle power. Didnt pull near as good out of corners in 3rd as it did with the screw down around 2 turns. So i ordered the 45 pilot jet……..

Put it in tonight along with adding a SPAL fan on the oil cooler to just keep it alittle cooler on long slow trail rides and i put the mixture screw at 2. Wouldnt even start unless i had the idle screw turned all the way in. Idles like absolute crap. And the side of the engine even with the fan on got so hot i couldnt touch it in about 3 minute idling in the garage. Tried adding even more fuel with the mixture screw made it out to around 3 turns out and again nothing changed. But i was able to get it to idle with the idle screw turned about half a turn from as tight as it goes. Im so fed up with all this im about to just buy a new carb and try that. I have cleaned the mixture screw and its seat and the carb is absolutely spotless inside the bowl and everywhere else i have looked. Any input from anyone is greatly appreciated!
