Hello new to the forum and have a few questions, bought a 04 700 twin and when we drive it there is a clicking noise I think coming from the front drive shafts but when I put it in 4 wheel drive it goes away
Next the right rear tire has a slight toe in and seems to wobble when we drive it. I jacked up the back tires and there is not really any play in that wheel but the other side has some. There should not be any right? Also should the axle have play in it where it meets up to the gearbox?
I recently picked up a 2015 Scrambler 1K. I got it for a good price and it has under 140 miles on it. I picked it up Memorial Day weekend and everything seemed normal. Last night I went for a ride with my wife and went through some mud. I think I am dealing with two problems:
First – when the AWD switch is engaged, I only get power to one wheel in the front.
Second – I put it in 2WD and tried the mud hole only to notice that the same front wheel was engaging. I tired it several times back and forth and nothing changed.
I would like to know if anyone can help me diagnose the problem.. Please help!!
Hi folks, im new to the formum. picked up a 2001 grizzly 600 last week. less than 700 miles on the clock. looks to have been rode a little rough. smokes very bad. thought it would need a new top end. after pullng the cylinder and piston i see the 1.0 stamp on top of the piston. damn already bored. i measured up the piston at 95.88 then the cylinder at 96.0. according to the manuel that is twice the piston to cylinder wall clearance. so something is going to give. get a new cylinder which would allow me to go back to standard bore with a new piston or buy new piston and bore to 2.0. has anyone gone that far on their cylinder bore? i presume its ok or there wouldnt be any offerings for pistons for 97.0 bore. piston is in good shape and is a yamaha 1.0 piston. i have a few more questions for later
I have a 2003 sportsman 500 HO that needs a new front left cv axle. The old one is bent and making the hub wobble (even in 2wd with front tire lifted off ground). Has anyone found an axle at a local auto parts store that will fit these? I was planning on riding this week but just found this problem. Don’t have time to wait on to ship. I appreciate any help or suggestions! Just bought the fourwheeler so trying to get it all fixed up.
Hey everyone,
I’m 28, live in citrus county Florida and while at a local dealer looking for a sound bar for my buddies razor, I came across a 2010 Sportsman 800 with 17 hours and like 77 miles. Factory 2500# winch installed as well. The quad was mint, not a spec of rust, scratch or spec of dirt. Loaded it up for $3900 plus tax and title fee’s.
So far love it! Used mainly to ride 2 up with the wife as my 6 year old has a 110cc she rips.
It needs lighting upgrades big time. Looking into 3 light mod, hid kit possibly and a light bar on a Atv guru bumper. Also need to get rid of these junk 489 tires.
I look forward to posting and learning!

I have got to say for the record here. I have been on this site for 6 yrs. and it is an awesome wealth of information. The people are very helpful with info and their experiences with the technical stuff, info on best prices for parts/tires etc. Without this information many of us would waste lot of $$$ at the stealerships or with trial and error on our own. If you are new here stick around. You’ll like it !!! These guys make it look easy and show you how to get it done.:getrdone::gcrules:
