07 Outlander 800 Max Won’t start

So went to start the other day, and no turn over or nothing when pressed the start button. Had been about a month since it last started, so charged battery and still nothing. Tried bypassing the solenoid and it turned over but wouldn’t start. sprayed some starter fluid in the air filter and bypassed the solenoid again and started, but died as soon as the starting fluid ran out. So it’s not getting fuel.

Acts like something is overriding and not letting it start. Checked the kill switch, and made sure it’s in park.

Any ideas of what else to try.

Outlander 1000XT-Fitting in 6′-4″ Ram bed

I currently have the 5′-7" bed but am looking to get a new Ram and think I am going to go with the 6′-4" bed, that way i can put the outlander in the back and shut the tailgate. I just assumed it would fit but after checking specs i do not think it will.

Can you guys just confirm that it will or will not fit with tailgate up.

I am new wanted to say hello to everyone

I am new to the atv repair game as a found a solid project on CL. I picked up 2001 foreman 450s for 650$ said that it had sat along time had carb issues wasn’t hundred percent sure all that was wrong with said got off an old rich farmer who checked his cows with it started acting up parked went and bought a brand new one. Must be nice he it wouldn’t run right took it to a guy to fix it never happened so he just wanted his money back on it. So at 650 I was willing to take a chance. I’m hoping you guys can give me some good advice and it will be much appreciated. I am handy with a wrench but by no means a mechanic. Look forward to being apart of this group everything I have read so far has been great. I bought some land and need a work /utility quad to help my back out alot of brush downed trees. I am in the process of going thru it right now have some questions you guys I’m hoping can shed some light on. Thanks for having me

Honda TRX350 Carb Cleaning/Rebuild ?

Hi guys dose anyone here know where a good video is of a carb cleaning or rebuild is for the Honda rancher trx350? I found one for a 91 trx250 but none for the TRX350 I’m needing to clean my carb out and this will be a first for me and I want to make sure I do it right with all the small pieces and all and hate to mess up. the cycle shop here charges 80 bucks to clean one which is outrageous if u ask me. thanks in advance.

Overheating issue

Some background first…
A couple weeks ago I went mudding and got the rad caked with clay…I attempted to clean it out while on the trail, but if you’ve ever had this happen to you, you know how hard that is…Anyhow, HI temp light came on, limp home mode shows up…I drive the bike home slowly, 30kmph max..long story short the coolant must have boiled out of the overflow and when I went to use it the next time, HI temp light came back on after just 3km. I cracked the rad cap and the rad was completely dry. I put about a litre of water in there that I had from a water bottle and it barely made a dent…So I "limped back home". I don’t really understand how the bike lets you drive home in "limp home mode" if the rad is completely boiling out its fluid. In 20/20 hindsight I do faintly remember a rad fluid smell…

I filled up the rad, bleeded the system and still nothing.

Now. The bike is cold. Rad fluid is full and both bleeder screws seem to have steady stream of coolant. When I start the bike it takes a few mins for the fan to come on, but it does, and with the rad cap off I can see the fluid flowing up and down, up and down as if it was circulating, So im HOPING its not the waterpump by the sounds of it. The coolant gets so hot that its boiling in the engine, just at Idle, I haven’t been riding it since the overheating issue.
The top rad hose gets hot, the bottom is cold. The rad looks clean and I can shine a light through it as well.
So first question..The flow of coolant goes from the bottom rad hose to the water pump, correct? This would be why the bottom hose is cold…It runs up to the rear cylinder, gets hot…front cylinder, then back to the rad.
Does this sound like a thermostat issue or waterpump issue (assuming the flow of coolant is the other way around TOP to Bottom)…I’m just a bit puzzled and I’ve read everyone else’s thread but they dont seem to mention flow of coolant as well as bottom rad hose being cold.:th_smiliepullhair:

Thanks in advanced for any advice!

X2 suspension

I have a 2007 X2 500 with over 10,000 hard hunting and hauling miles. Mostly its packing myself and 5 dogs on a deck over the box, but also often with a passenger AND the dogs, backpacks, and other gear. I suppose it has hauled 600-700 lbs. for thousands of miles. The 07 has handled it flawlessly.

Recently decided to upgrade based on the mileage and I found a new 2015 X2 570. I like the 570 motor and power steering, but the same load is CRUSHING the suspension. It bows down the rear A-arms, tires rub the fender, front is to light to steer at times, and it just has that top heavy overloaded feel.

I have a set of after market springs ordered, but I’m not sure it will be enough. I feel it is nothing more that a Sportsman in X2 clothing, and that Polaris has sold out on the X2 buy overstating the payload rating on the machine.
