hard to read display screen

I was forced to leave my atv out in the elements due to circumstances. im trying to clear the scree up with baking soda and lava soap an a little water so i can see it. it is working some, but is a long process, and in the end may not be enough. if i have to replace it(i can go with out it, but rather not), doe’s that mean the whole display?

98 600 boiling the gas

Ok yesterday I put a new muffler on before I came on a ride and it runs great but after awhile it starts shooting gas out the carb and you can take the cap off and it’s like it’s boiling. Could it be that it needs to be re jetted cause the exhaust is more free flowing now causeing it to run hotter.its a glass pack btw

Power Commander V for sale

I’m selling my Power Commander V from my 2013 Outlander 1000 XT. It had 250 miles on it when I sold it, and I put the Power Commander on at about 100 miles.

It has a custom map for Yoshimura pipe, but other maps are available from the power commander website.

I believe it fits all 2012-2015 Outlanders and Renegades.

It’s currently on ebay, he’s the link…

Does the Scrambler 1000 engine fit on the Sportsman 850?

I’m wondering if anyone knows if the engine on the Scrambler and Sportsman XP 1000 fits on the Sportman 850 XP? It looks very similar when looking at the oem parts fiche.

I’m asking this since after bringing my 2011 Sportsman 850 XP to Polaris because it was burning lots of oil I just found out that the whole top end of the motor needs to be changed and it will cost about 3000$ for them to do it. So I was thinking of doing it myself and maybe putting a whole new motor if I can find one for a good price, And if I’m doing that I might as well upgrade it to the 1000 if somehow compatible. If not I may just put a big bore kit.

HELP with my clutch kit…

I am new to the thread, but as I have been reading up on here there is a lot of knowledge here that I could use. I am not a new rider but new to the 2015 Polaris sportsman xp 1000, shes a beast, but I have a dilemma, if anyone could help I would certainly appreciate it, here goes

I have a 2015 sportsman xp 1000 atv, the only mods I have are a k&N filter, 2in extreme bracket lift, 28in swamplites on 14in diesel m12s, I have installed an EPI sport utility clutch for 27-28in over sized tires product number WE437282, I chose the black and gold instead of the black and silver spring as this was told to me that my low end would be right with this spring. Here is my dilemma, when I got my bike back from the shop I noticed that the stall before the engagement was really high and when it engaged it was a HORRIBLE clank !!!, as well as a lunge forward when I let off the throttle, (I wanted a light backshift almost like a mild slightly braking coast until stop. I will say that when you got the bike going that the low and mid range were very impressive but this is not what I wanted in my riding experience. When I talked to EPI I told them that I wanted a low rpm, very smooth engagement, crisp throttle response with good low and mid levels to pick up what I was being robbed by my oversized tires,(like switching truck gear ratios from a stock 373 to a 456), and that I would be doing mostly trail riding some light mud riding (possibly med to med/heavy on occasions) and some sand riding, not dunes but more like beach riding, not the over revving slam into engagement that im experiencing, the very little research that I had to study all said that EPI was a good clutch, (and maybe I just have the wrong springs) but this is the polar opposite of what I wanted. I am looking to professionals for the help needed to get my bike back to my standards. this has been an extremely costly experience so please take your time ask all the questions you need, I wanna add the suggestions that I have come across from epi and me asking soooo many questions in order to get the riding experience I am looking for, the black and gold primary spring has an 80lb/200lb 2.5” -1.25” load, which is installed now giving me the horrible experience, the black and silver spring has a 60lb/200lb 2.5”-1.25”load (this was the second primary spring that came with the EPI kit), my stock spring is orange and has a 22lb-200lb 2.5”-1.25”load. I was informed today that the weights are 62grams (non tunable), my stock weights are 70 grams (non tunable). the secondary EPI kit spring is orange with a 125lb/230lb 2.5”-1.25”. I was also thinking that maybe a custom cut helix would give me the low to mid range I am looking for without having to change out my springs in order to get the somewhat results. also maybe some custom weights for this setup would do me some good?

My questions right now far outweigh the answers:
1. what if I put my factory primary spring on with the EPI weights and keep the secondary EPI spring on, what will happen? will it burn up my belt?
2. would a custom helix give me the outcome I need?
3. is it possible to get the low and mid range torque back without having to up my engagement rpms?
4. would a shim kit work with the black and silver primary spring and maybe heavier weights get the outcome I need?
5. even if I changed my spring would my bike run better with aftermarket weights and what are some that are highly recommended?

I have contacted Dalton,(absolutely no help whatso ever, just wanted to tell me that my kit and his kit wasn’t compatible), ive contacted EPI (they told me to do the first of my questions), QSC has just returned my email but the answers were limited. Starting line performance doesn’t make kits for atvs but was the most help at explaining what each component does.

sorry this is so long but I am in serious need to get some answers
