Honda trx won’t run after shifted into gear

I have a 2004 Honda trx 450r that when I got had an idling issue. I took it in to have it fixed and after a month the same problem I took it there was still happening, they replaced the top end, new plugs, air box lid was put on because it didn’t have one. Today I changed the jets in the carb with the Fmf kit with the jets it recommended, it would only stay on idle if it was running at a very high idle, but I finally got it to idle low stay steady. As I try to shift into first it bogs down and dies unless you lightly let go of the clutch it sounds like gun shots because it’s back firing so bad then dies. Kicks over on first kick I just can’t figure out why it won’t run

1999 Sportsman 500 Rebuild

Hello everyone. Looking for some thoughts/experience with doing a rebuild on a 1999 Sportsman 500. I just bought a 1996 Sportsman for a parts bike for the 1999 and want to take the engine out of the 1996 and clean it up and put into the 1999. Thoughts are to put maybe a Wiseco big bore jug and piston on it if available,haven’t looked yet and a big question I have is can you put a head and cam from an H.O. on this engine and if so, would there be an advantage in doing this. Just trying to beef a little bit a clean tight new engine.

83 atc 200e REALLY high idle and won’t adjust

Ok so I was riding last weekend and everything was great, parked it and decided to take it for a spin today. Started right up but immediately went to full throttle! Though it was a sticky throttle cable but when I pressed the throttle to accelerate it reved even higher! So I then tried adjusting the idle and fuel/air mixtures screws but it did nothing, their was no apparent effect when I scewed them either in or out. I then took the carb off and replaced it with a carb from my 84 that I knew for a fact worked, and I got the same effect, I then changed the throttle cable out with the one from the same 84 that I knew worked and it still reved really high when i start it up, I tried the wd40 test for a vacuum leak and I couldn’t find one, I am completely out of options now please help!!???

2001 Scrambler 500 Primary clutch

Hello Guys,

Just curious if anyone has used one of the "Partsace" replacement primary clutches from Ebay complete with spring and weights ($215)? If so what was your opinion of it, looking to replace mine< buttons gone, sheaves worn, just all around bad shape..

Zillas and flat tires

I was going to buy a set of Zillas. My last 2 riding trips has resulted in 3 flats for my buddy who runs them on his Polaris. I have had zero flats running the stock tires on my Grizzly on the same trips. My question is are these tires prone to flats? Im really 2nd guessing buying these tires now.

Can-Am snow plow mount

Wow! Just finished installing the Can-Am 715001411 Alpine plow mount kit on the 570 Renegade. Now if that isnt a hokie setup! I would think the smart ones at BRP could design something better than that!?! But it is installed. The real test will be once the snow flies and see well it holds up to a 60” blade. Anyone else use the Can-Am mount and think the same thing?
