My Sportsman XP 1000 Build/Mod

Hey guys, I am a newb to this forum and really a newb to ATV’s. I had a Honda 125 when I was kid (I’m 35 now) and rode it all over the place but this is my first big boy ATV. I have been looking at Polaris ATV’s for quite some time and I wanted something that I could use for hunting and to play with off road. I do a decent amount of off roading in my Jeep and am pretty familiar with modifications (visual and functional) so I wanted to start a thread where I show the progression of my ATV. Plus if I get ready to sell the ATV in the future, I can show this to any potential buyer and let them see what has been done to the ATV and where it started.

I purchased a used (250 miles) 2015 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 in Denton, TX just outside of Dallas. I live in Athens, Georgia but was able to pay someone to bring it to me after the purchase was final.

The first picture was one of the pictures the dealership had on their website.

The next two pictures are at my house after I gave her a good bath. Also, I installed a rear rack extender.

In the last picture you can see where I painted my exhaust pipe black with VHT Extreme high heat paint. This will get me by until I can afford to replace the exhaust.

Looking at nitrous oxide

I have a 2013 sportsman 800 efi that i have completed my build on. The only thing factory is the engine. I have the 3lb boondocker nitrous system including the controller. Not to sure if i want it yet as i have heard some horror stories. I don’t race it so i would only run 15 shot of nos. Want it for mudding in heavy muskeg. Thoughts or direction would be great.

crack in primary clutch

I started to do a snorkel set up and raise my rad up today. On my 07′ 800 sportsmen. and to my surprise when i took the cover off the clutches i found a
big old crack in the back plate or the sheaf ?. And i just put 27” Mega mayhem
tires on with a 2" lift.
So i know i need a clutch kit. but now i need a clutch and a kit . LOL. But question is . I found a parts clutch on E.B. but it’s for a polaris ranger 700 efi 05-07′ 4×4 parts only . With light grooving . Now, can i take the front half of my clutch and attach it to the back of the 700’s . and do the clutch kit .
So if someone can please help me with that I really would appreciate it.

Honda trx won’t run after shifted into gear

I have a 2004 Honda trx 450r that when I got had an idling issue. I took it in to have it fixed and after a month the same problem I took it there was still happening, they replaced the top end, new plugs, air box lid was put on because it didn’t have one. Today I changed the jets in the carb with the Fmf kit with the jets it recommended, it would only stay on idle if it was running at a very high idle, but I finally got it to idle low stay steady. As I try to shift into first it bogs down and dies unless you lightly let go of the clutch it sounds like gun shots because it’s back firing so bad then dies. Kicks over on first kick I just can’t figure out why it won’t run
