AirDam Clutches – MIA

This is the last thing I wanted to do…

Adam at AirDam has our sheaves for our T4 build up that you agreed to partake in. They were supposed to go on the bench after the Mud Nationals. We have yet to receive them and he is not answering either phone, email, and texts. I have exhausted all of those contact methods in reaching him. Our build is being held up here.

Does anybody else here have a direct line with him?

Adam,

I need our clutches done or not and for you to contact me now.

Jamey

Beware TMW Offroad

My customer service experience with them was horrible. Seats were ordered online and did not arrive as ordered. They stated it was a email misunderstanding. No problem things happen right. Would not do anything to make it right.

2012 Polaris 550 xp problems

I will start off at the beginning, last Sunday I bought a 2012 550 and a 2012 850. The guy said the 550 smokes and the 850 has something stripped out in the transmission. Both have lots of aftermarket parts.

So to start off with the 550, when I went to buy it the guy had to give it throttle to start, but it did not smoke at all. It has snorkels and a rad relocate he said he never had it over the gas cap which is on the front fender, he said he put the snorkels on there mostly for the looks. The motors on both of them look like they haven’t ever been sunk so I don’t think it ever got water in the engine, and he said that he never had and he bought it new. Anyway, I brought them home rolled the 850 in the shed and started the 550 but I did have to give it throttle.
He only drove it twice last year so I was going to drain the gas but then learned I have to pump it out, which I don’t have. So I just left it in it, it would only smoke if I throttled it hard and it still wasn’t bad. It runs good once it warms up good, I went for a ride yesterday and the gas indicator started blinking so I took it home, then let it sit a few hours and the gas gauge went back to 2 bars.

#2: I then went out to start it and if I gave it no throttle it would try to start but if I gave it any throttle it would lightly backfire through the air filter. And if I cranked very long it would say on the screen: lo9.6, and would slowly drop if I kept cranking it, so I figured it was telling me it had a low battery. So I pushed it in the shed and put a charger on it, went out this morning put gas an sea foam in it and let it pump twice. Just giving it no throttle it would do nothing, so I gave it a little throttle. And boom! It backfired real loud through the muffler, so I turned of the the key waited a few seconds and and tried to start it again and all it does is click, click, click ect…

This is my first Polaris and my first efi atv and the newest atv I have ever worked on or owned so I know nothing about all the sensors and all the electric stuff which is on them. I am really lost on what I should do.

What do yall experts think it is??? Oh yeah on the ride yesterday I got up to about where the black part of the floor boards ends and where the green fender starts in water, don’t know if this has anything to do with it but figured I would make sure yall now. Thanks in advance!

cv rubbing on both balljoints

I have a 2012 outlander 1000xt with a 2inch HL lift 30 inch Silverback and went with new after market axles on the front and the cv has been rubbing on both ball joints has anyone else had this problem with aftermarket axles on a stock or lifted bike as the supplier is telling me it’s a normal thing from bike to bike and that the ball joints used are different from bike to bike witch makes no sense to me
thanks guys

New Polaris OEM Voltage Regulator for Rzr 1000

I had ordered one long ago as a spare and it finally came in the day I called to cancel the order since the dealer I purchased mine from assured me he would pull one off a new unit if mine went out while under warranty so I was seeing if there was any interest in the new spare one that just came in. I was told it is $215 not sure on shipping I bet it would be $10 or less. Just wanting to see if there is any interest in it or someone needs it I am not looking to make money or for that matter lose money so you can have it for exactly what it cost +shipping.
