2004 Sportsman 400 wicked hesitation after carb clean

As you may recall from my "Many Issues" thread, my Sportsman 400 really needed a carb cleaning. Well, I finally did that. Runs on no choke now, idles great and once at around 4500 RPM runs perfect and is more powerful than before. However, at mid throttle and on quick acceleration, it has a wicked bog and almost like a stutter where it’ll hesitate and run terrible until it kinda catches itself. I turned the pilot screw in slightly because I believe it’s running a little rich but it didn’t change one thing. Should I adjust the e-clip?:unknw: I’m starting to think I shouldn’t have even touched it.

450s plug reading lean ??

I installed a snorkel that I made using 2" (outside diameter 1.5" inside diameter ) ran it on outside of front left fender. I installed a hmf pen land utility series exhaust that I believe is for a Rincon I had it welded on. And I added a uni air filter. Needless to say it would barely run after all of that.

It would spit and sputter and was unridable. I could cover half the opening of snorkel and it would run good. So after reading a little bit I ordered a few main jets a few sizes bigger from jetsrus. It had a 130 in it. Iv worked my way up to a 150 and the needle clip on top notch. It runs pretty good has a little choke every 10 secs or so at steady throttle when its warmed up. My muffler is getting real hot. I haven’t noticed the header from motor glow red but the inside of muffler has got red.

I bought 2 new plugs today and did a plug check a few min ago. ( last 4 or 5 tanks of gas have been non ethanol gas). I’d hit 5th gear wide open for 10 secs then push gear shifter down as far as it would go , once ( neutral, but actually 4th gear if I would have let up) And hit kill switch. Pulled plug and it’s almost white as new.

How many more jet sizes up do Yal think I should go? Think Iv already went through around 8 jets.

RZR 900 Turned to Bouncer RZR

I go the itch to work on a new project and build a new rzr buggy. I loved my last RZR that i built, I could drive it hard and it held up to just about what ever i threw at it. This time i stared from scratch. I’m two weeks into it now.

At last… Buying an XP41K

What do I need to know? First RZR, I have owned quads, dirtbikes, jeeps. But this is my first RZR. Looks like thhe reverse chain is weak, and expect front diff noise. What should I do or do not do and watch out for, mod to make reliable, etc

03 sportsman 90kickin my a**!

actually,its whippin me and my wallet.
I hope somebody can help,Ive done search after search and I’m drawing blanks.Here’s the story:03 sportsman 90 ,has new battery,new stator,cdi box,starter relay,plug,carb,plug wire.Bike wont start! It has always run good,until one day it died and wont start.It turns over ,and has spark.
Ive tried jump starting it,nothing.Starter fluid,nothing. Im lost!Ive pulled the kill switch,it shuts off spark,and when plug the kill switch in,it sparks.So I know it’s doing it’s job.The left brake lever is doing it’s job,too.

I’m totally lost at this point.

ps.I’m not a mechanic,have limited tools.No volt/amp testers either,and I wouldn’t know how to read them anyway. please help
