wasted spending?

OK I know these topic’s can be iffy, and well this is the off topoc section.SO
was watching my local news tonight, they did a story on how a local town, just spent 45 thousand dollars, to kill a dozen groundhog?
Man, if that doesn’t say wasted funds, I don’t know what does.
all were located in like a 100 yrd section of a river support dyke, so could have safely been shot, with the large dirt back they were living in?
I would have killed them for a fraction of that price LOL
hell maybe for free LOL
as I am sure many local tax payers would of, rather than spentalmost 50 grand to kill them??
crazy
Oh well, rant over, the modern world today???? logic has left the building it seems

Head Gasket Repair

Hello everyone,

I am about to attempt a head gasket repair and have zero clue as to how to execute this. I have done some research, made some phone calls and gotten some advice on here. I am hoping that I can post pictures and ask questions and in the end through the collaboration we can provide a guide for others who may need to undertake this task.

This YouTube video seems to provide a good overview of how to tear the motor down. The first thing I am wondering is how far do I have to take it apart?

First this may seem like a stupid question but, is this the head gasket? It looks like the part:

Also, is that where I would stop taking things apart or do I have to go deeper?

Is this the head gasket too?

And is that this gasket? (under the cylindar):

Thank you in advance for your help.
