Sportsman 500 Oil change, different oil?

I’m doing a engine oil change on my 2013 Polaris sportsman 500 H.O. And I was just wondering if there is an alternative to using genuine Polaris oil. I think it takes something like 2w-50 or whatever, can’t really remember though. I haven’t changed the oil in a year and I’ve barely used it since I have my 850 and dirt bikes so the poor 500 just sits there.

Anyway, what brand can I use in this that’s safe but not as expensive as Polaris oil? I’ve used nothing but Polaris oil but at $10 a quart, it’s getting expensive. Also, I’ll have to clean the oil tank screen and I may have to change the engine coolant. I haven’t done that yet, and the wires, pivots need lubrication. The driveshaft yoke could use some grease.

The suspension is really creaky and squeaky. I guess that could use some lube as well. The brake fluid is still really clear but full so that can stay till later this year. Thanks in advance:)

4 WD front cage sticking

2011 Sportsman 800……….

Dagone thing keeps wanting to get hung up. The only way I can keep it from sticking is to change the front differential oil once a month. About 3 years ago, I installed the aluminum roller cage but, if I don’t change the oil frequently I end up with a problem.
It suck again yesterday while I was working up a food plot. I drained and replaced the front differential fluid and tried it. Still sticking.

This sucks. Any recommendations????

Poll: 2015 XP1000 Front Diff/Driveline Issues

I am getting ready to buy a 15 XP 4 1000 next month and I wanted to get a rough idea as to what percentage of 15’s are having front diff or drive-line issues. If you have a 15 XP 1000 (2 or 4 seat) and would be so kind as to answer my poll, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

RZR 1000 Polaris Aluminum Roof & Stock Cage

I have a almost new cage and roof. Been on my unit for only a month, I just bought the rzr and had a custom cage built so just need to get rid of this. Also have stock seat belts as well.

Roof – $300
Cage with belts – $200

Pick up only as this stuff is bulky and shipping would be a pain.
