Kenda Bear Claw HTR way out of balance

I just got a new set of 26x9x12 in the front and 26x11x12 in the rear. I actually have a new King Quad 750, but this forum is pretty active and I end up reading quite a bit from here when I google search.

I just got these on and they shimmy pretty horribly on the road above 25ish. They also seem to make the steering really twitchy. Anyway I took them to a tire shop and they reluctantly put them on a tire balancer. He was going on about how he never heard of balancing atv tires, and was making all kinds of comments and being a general a-hole. He put one tire on the balancer and said it was so off he would never get it to balance and wasn’t going to waste his time trying.

Has anybody ever used the balance beads Apparently there are some that can be put in through the valve stem.

Hello everybody.

Mi name is Jose and I’m from Mexico, big fan of the outdoors and the RZR. Have a 2015 Voodoo Blue XPS 1000 and love it.

I live in an area with trails just outside the door so I use my ride practically every weekend.

My friends and I use to ride to near cities and make night bbq’s in places near by.

I’m a hands on person an love to fix and make improvements to my ride myself, have acquired some experience and hope this might be helpful to the forum’s members.

New or Used Grizzly, 700 or 550?

Just purchased a 2014 700 EPS and had it out on Burning Rock in WV. Trails were great and grizzly did superb. Now I am looking for another. Son soon to be 16 and wife thinks it would be good if we had 2. I was looking for a used rig, but anything decent is close to a new one. Was thinking about other brands, but keep coming back to Yamaha as being best for me. Just got a quote for a 2015. Very close to what I paid for my 2014 4 months ago. MY question is for beginners and intermediates I was thinking of a 550, but keep coming back to another 700 and possible use the speed limiter until Jr gets better on the ATV. Has anyone used the speed limiter? And I think somewhere along the way my daughters will want to ride too. Anyone have similar experience? Will mostly ride in WV and some in PA. Thanks in advance – Kevin

Cracking noise

I noticed today that when turning either which way at full turn or close to it that there’s a cracking noise coming from the steering somewhere.I’ve eliminated the CV axles thinking it was them but its not.i jacked it up and by turning the wheels sounds like it may be coming from the steering stem right down from the handle bars .checked the tie rods and no play in those and not hitting anything..anyone know what it could be before I tear it apart ?
