29 inch bighorns

I have a 2011 900xp I want to put 29 inch big horn Irondale on it. Will they fit with no lift? Or fender modification? they will be on 14 inch msa vibes. Thanks in advance.

converting to a 4seater

When I bought my XP in 2012 kids where not really on horizon but fast forward 3 years and things have changed. This has led me to start considering what we are going to do with our 2seater. Most would say "great excuse to buy a new 1k xp4" and I would have to agree however with the price of those beasts Ive been considering other options.
So I have been searching for XP to XP4 conversions without too many results. I know they have been done and have found a couple photos of mid build but not too many threads on the topic. Im kinda looking for a rough cost of whats needed to stretch it out. I am aware of the obvious changes and parts needed like plastics, seats, cage modifications, coolant lines, shift cable etc. Is there anything that needs to be done in the way of clutching, suspension, springs etc to accommodate the extra weight? Im sure there are other things once getting in the middle of it but really no idea how much it would run. Labor is a non issue as I have all the tools needed and confident in my skills to tackle it. Granted time is money but I enjoy projects in the garage as well so I look at it as a hobby.

Im looking for whats involved in converting over to a xp4 rather then the argument of sell it and buy one. That option is not out of the question but not what this topic is about.

roll cage question

i have read a few different threads. my question is , does it hurt to cut and reweld the factory roll cage, rather than buy a new one. i can add most the extra from what i see in new cages , and i want the top a bit flatter without the hump. i have to think this will make factory cage allot stronger.
ANY THOUGHT?

Bear claws on

Had to tweak the passenger door rear mount some but not as big of an issue as some have said. The bear claws work great and are a great value for the price.

EPs and engine light and ov

Out of the blue (just moving around garage) my EPs and engine light come on. When I drove down my street it comes and goes and ov flashes on dash. I have searched the forum and found a couple threads and it sounds like the consensus is the voltage regulator. Is there a way to check it? Where is it located on a 14 xp 900 and why would it just happen out of the blue? Is there an upgraded one to replace it with so this doesn’t happen again? Any info would be appreciated

MCX low boost turbo ….. clutch help

Trying to get some information on what clutch set-up / parts I would need …

I have brought a 2012 xp900 , set up with a MCX low boost turbo kit with intercooler . Had it for about a year or so , goes well , had a few small issuse’s with it but getting them sorted now .
I’m running a set of 30"x9 ITP Baja Cross tyres all round .

Looking at the MCX website , they supply clutch parts to suit the turbo kit. I am unsure of whats in it at the moment .

What clutch parts would I need to get the most out of the turbo without putting undue stress on the axles / cv’s due to the 30" tyres ?

Looking for some help from someone experienced as over here ( Aus ) there just doesn’t seem to be that much information .

Hesitation off idle

Got 900 with 180 hours on it and the thing is running weird, when you give it gas it hesitates and stumbles, it will die if you hit the gas too hard.

If you press the gas lightly it revs out but still runs kinda rough.

I tried everything I could think of, swapping the CPS, throttle body and TPS, ECU, fuel pump is at 45psi, temp sensor is working correctly, air box on and airbox off, compression is 190 both cylinders, 15% leakdown both cylinders, valve clearance is in spec, timing didn’t jump, cleaned the grounds, no check engine lights, checked the wiring from the TPS to the ECU and it’s all good.

I’m really at a loss here, thinking of taking it to the dealer and having them hook a computer up to it but they said 2 weeks just to look at it so any ideas on what to check next would be awesome.

Spare tire carrier

Does anyone make a spare tire carrier that doesn’t require any cage extension or modifying anything? Going to Hatfield at the end of June and would like to have one that doesn’t take up any bed space or require a cage extension. If any vendors on here sell anything like that feel free to message me with prices. Thanks in advance.
