Newbie from Missouri

Hello all. When I was younger I always wanted an ATV but never got one. Just played on my friends and families. About 5 months ago me and the wife talked about getting a small one for our girls for Christmas. So we went to our local dealership. Oh boy did that open Pandora’s box! Soon after we bought the 110 Polaris outlaw for the girls we bought a 2016 Highlifter 1000, 2016 850 scrambler, and a 2007 700R Raptor. These machine are so much better than the ones I road when I was in my early teens! I love riding each one of them. The only issue so far is my Highlifter’s front differential broke the first time I really decided to play in some deep mud. Searching the net for fixes is what led me to this website. That’s about the only positive I have been able to come up with out of the situation. I’m looking forward to soaking up some knowledge and sharing my experience.

660 brake line question

Who knows the sizes of the ends for the front flex hose from master cylinder on handle bar (banjo end) down to the end where the Tee fitting is? Need a 3"longer one and before taking it off so I can get the thread size/style aND banjo size then I can do some homework without pulling it apart. Or if someone knows of a part # that will work. (I Put a 5" riser on) Cheers justin

Basket

I’m looking at getting a basket for the back of my 2016 Rubicon. Was looking at the Strong Made baskets. Do you guys buy directly from them or do you go through a dealer or supplier?

Thanks

Need help with plow strap breaking ASAP

I’m in pa and got 9 inches of snow in this storm coming through I had a motorcycle alliance plow strap on ( it’s a 2 wide i think nylon strap) it frayed and broke. Came in tried using part of a ratchet strap as a quick fix it frayed and broke. So in last option I put my syn winch cable back on to finish up it has a cable sheath on the end and it’s all frayed up now. I don’t see or feel any nicks or anything what could be causing this . I have pics of how the winch hooks up the fairlead and the damaged sheath maybe someone will see something I don’t . Since I have to buy an new plow rope what do u all recommend ? I quickly looked at am steel plow rope on motor alliances site .Attachment 24873Attachment 24881Attachment 24889Attachment 24897

New Polaris 850

So my buddy is looking at buying a Polaris 850.lve told him all about the good things the grizzly has to offer so he knows about that.He would like an actual 2 up machine because he’s a big guy and want to ride with his wife or take a kid sometime. The canams are too expensive so that’s out.Can you guys recommend something besides a sxs and any input on the Polaris would be appreciated.l have read some bad things about them but maybe there better now? Would like to get some feedback from previous Polaris owners.Thabks again

New to CAN-AM FORUM from Manitoba

Hi CAN FORUM world,
Recently sold my 800 Sportsman .. I know… POLARIS but it was a nice machine with the Mod’s I did to it. However, I bought my wife a 2015 SCRAMBLER 1000 and the 800 SPORTSMAN wasn’t much of a contender.
I raised the bar and purchased a 2012 RENEGADE XXC. Not new as one new machine is enough but this one is close enough to it for me with very low mileage/ hours.

Don’t get me wrong, the scrambler IS a nice machine to play with BUT……
I think I’m in love with the renegade! :yahoo:
Look forward to modifying this machine a little here and there….:tools1:

Rancher 420 ignition problem

Can anyone tell me how many volts should be going through the g/y wire to my ignition coil? It’s a 2007 Honda rancher 420 fm. When I press the ignition switch it is pushing less than 1v to the coil. I know that isn’t right and the only thing I can think would cause that is a faulty ECU
