2007 Rancher 420 Won’t start Help

It would crank sometimes and when it didn’t crank I could knock on the bottom of the fuel pump and she would crank right up then basically that stopped working assuming it the pump and filter I replaced both of those and I hear it cut on when I turn the key. I’m getting fuel all the way to the throttle body injector but it will act like it wants to crank when u put hand on air intake hole but won’t really start. It did start when starter fluid would be sprayed into I’m not sure what the problem is I thought all it was was the fuel pump….

25 or 26 HTRs on 800?

I have decided to order Kenda Bearclaw HTRs for my 2011 Sportsman 800efi twin. When I went to order them I realized they do not offer my stock rear tire size. My bike came with 25x8x12 in front and 25x11x12 out back.
So my question is, should I go 25x8x12 and 25x10x12 and lose an inch of rear width, or go with 26x9x12 and 26x11x12 and gain an inch of height and an inch of front width?
I’ve read conflicting stories about tie rod clearance issues. I have just over half inch clearance now. I don’t mind doing a tie rod flip if needed but I don’t want to do spacers or 4×3 wheels due to my side by side atv truck rack.
Thank you for the input.

DS 250 Drive Chain Tightening Method

Read the manual, and have tried the method of loosening the 2 tensioner bolts, but the caliper support bolt on my sons machine isnt the same as it is in the picture…
any help here would be appreciated, I even sprayed some liquid wrench and let is soak down in the hub area in case it was seized up a bit, but maybe the seize is deeper? Im lost, this should be a simple procedure and its keeping my boy from riding his new toy!

2016 Grizzly Shifter problem

Ok guys need your help,
My wonderful 26 year old daughter took our Grizzly for a ride. Had her boyfriend and sure there was some showing off involved in this ride. Well when I got the grizz back the shiftier does not work the way it is suppose to. NONE of the gears line up with there slot that they are suppose to be in. Neutral is Reverse, Reverse is Park none of it seams to lock into any position. Is this an adjustment or should I be looking into the lever or into the gears shift forks? Grizzly has 560 mi. Just had the oil changed. I mean just change, tires hit the round and she was gone.

Clumsy

Sooooo, still doing a break-in on my first tank. I wanted to test the gauge and run it empty to see what I can get on a tank. Finally ran out tonight, grabbed my gas can and began to pour. Pop/snap went the lovely EPA nozzle, and the top half of the spout fell into the empty tank and rattled around! Panic set in as I wondered if I would have to drop the tank, or remove the top, or tip it over to get it out. My neighbors little kids even tried to see if they could reach it. Finally ran down to lowes and got a pick-up tool with a plunger claw and got it out in 30 seconds.

By the way, got to 110 miles…including 30 miles once it hit reserve at 80. That’s easy driving of course and not loaded.

Where to start ? Grizzly sat for a year, may have been sunk..

Hello Everyone,

First time posting on here, but hoping to become a part of the community.
I recently acquired an 2012 Grizzly 450 EPS, it is the camo/hunter model and has 900 miles on it.
This is what I know about it:
It has sat for a year until recently when a new carb was installed. Still has old fuel and fuel line. It does start and run, but not great.
It had a snorkel installed and I can confirm it has been in water at least up to the handle bars. No water in engine oil, did not check diffs yet.
It did not do this until we brought it home but sometimes the P,N,H do not light up on the display as you shift into the different gears, and few times after shifting it would make a horrible grinding sound but would stop after wiggling the shifter. Now this was the first couple times of me shifting this quad so could have been my error maybe ?
Other than that there seems to be some squeeks, maybe some bad wheel bearings and torn driveshaft boots, brakes are mush, coolant is low and so on.

So obviously many things on the to do list, but my question is in which order should I attack this ? Are there certain things I should check first specific to these machines ? I have already removed all the racks, bumper and body panels just make things easier to work on. Should my focus first be on making sure the transmission doesn’t have issues ? Or maybe something in respect to it possibly being sunk..?

Thanks for any input, hopefully I can have this thing on the trails sooner than later !
