So, I just swapped out my stock exhaust with the "New Quieter" GSE exhaust on my 2015 sportsman 570. I ordered the package deal direct from GSE that included the performance air filter (similar to K&N), but note it does not come pre-oiled or with any oil.
It took roughly 20 min to swap the exhausts out.
Here’s a link to the audio comparison:
I just purchased a clean 07 420 rancher. Got tired of my 04 foreman 500 always in limp mode. First issue, the gear shift lever was extremely loose. I tried to tighten and broke the bolt. I will replace but wondered if this is a common problem considering the size of this shifter getting bounced around. Second issue, somewhere on the right side, just above the oil filter, i have a rolling noise. Only really notice it at idle. Not a knock, or a ping, but a noise hard to describe. Based on schematics, could be timing chain. Also, I will be installing a winch. Anybody know a good mounting bracket. I had to fab my last one myself on my foreman, but prefer not to build it myself. Also, A front and rear basket type rack to fit?. I used a universal and fabed to fit foreman which turned out great, yet would rather not start cutting and welding if a good option exists. Also, general info about the 420 Rancher, is it a good dependable machine? Anything I should check, watch out for?. Most liked upgrades/mods? Thanks
I’m new to atv’s and carbs. I bought some b12 took the carb off took the bottom part out and sprayed down the jets. I’m sure you know now what my problem is. Apparently the rubber thing (sorry i don’t know what to call it) swelled up because of the b12.
I wen’t a head and just bought a new carb that will be here Thursday. My question is, can i tighten down the plate over the rubber piece and ride around until i get the new carb in?
Hi All,
I joined this forum after seeing all the interesting posts with tons
of info. I just sold my outlander and have some questions on the new Grizzly that i will post later.
Hey guys I’m new to the sport and just bought a 2016 outlander L LE and am looking for some actual trail around the London, st Thomas area that are available to anyone or with a pass permit
Thanks!
Anyone ever installed one on a unit? My boy has a 2015 and he just wants to know how fast he is going. He keeps riding with the GPS on it but it is only held by suction cups and doesn’t stay on well. He always wants to know how fast he is going and I thought it has to be pretty simple to install one but how is a big question.
I have a 2009 500 Rubicon with 500 miles. Went to start it the display went blank and electric start wouldn’t work. I checked fuses, all appear to be good.
I charged the battery and tried again. Same thing.
Next I tried pull start and it started right up. There was a beeping, like an alarm for a short time. The power steering light flashed intermittently as I drive and I can feel the PS not always working. The display works and stays on after pull starting. Shut it off and the same thing, no display, no electric start.
I have re pull started a few times and have the same results except the alarm has never sounded again.
I suspect the ECM/CDI???
’05 Sportsman 700 carb. model. Battery is charged but when I turn the key the device by the battery is clicking on and off and no sound from the starter. Any ideas where to start?
Twin Air and Uni-Filter just released their replacement filter for the 2016 Grizz and Kodiak. Both are super nice quality. I’ll get them tested with more photos here soon. Always good to have a spare filter.
