01 300ex Electrical Issue (Won’t Start w/Button)

Traded off the 400ex after getting it running for a 300ex and some $$.. Ran fine day we made the trade and started just fine every time.. Next day I went to unload it from truck it started once and I went to put it in reverse and back out it stalled and won’t fire from start button since..

Honestly not sure if I actually pulled the reverse lever up when I tried to back it up or just pushed button on clutch and forgot to pull lever.. If that matters..

What I do know to this point is if I turn the key on I have no headlights, neutral or reverse light showing.. If I jump the solenoid bike will fire right up headlight works, neutral light works and so does reverse when you put it in reverse.. If you turn ignition off it shuts down normal as well as if using the on off switch..

Figured it was a solenoid so replaced it and still the same.. I have checked the clutch switch with meter and is ok, from my tests of the starter button it appears as working correctly.. Ohm out the yellow green wire from reverse inhibiter to where it connects up to solenoid and no break in that wire..

There are 2 red plug in style fuses under the seat I have checked several times and both are good.. What am I missing??

Being none of the lights come on with just switch in on position I don’t believe its a inhibiter switch issue.. There is something I am missing simple.. I have been sitting here looking over the wiring schematics and scratching my head puzzled.. If the main ignition switch was bad or faulty I believe it wouldn’t allow it to start at all or shut it down when switched off..

New 2016 Kodiak SE

Just brought home a brand new Kodiak SE, I notice some slight back firing when I let off the gas and slow down. I have never owned a quad before, is this normal or will it work itself out as I run a few tanks of gas threw it. I haven’t even filled it up just using the gas it came with.

03 Rancher ES not starting

Hey guys new to the forum and i believe i posted in the correct section,

I just picked up a 2003 rancher ES in fairly good shape. 21xx miles. The previous owner said he hadnt run it for a couple years and that the last few times he had, he said it would stall after what it was "warmed up".

I was hoping to bring it home drain the tank and possibly fire it up and see what the problem is. I took out the plug and it seems brand new, turned it over and it gave me a lovely shock. Sprayed a little starter fluid in for good luck and tried to fire it up with some fresh gas. 0 luck. just cranks and cranks

It seems to be turning over no problem, but it didnt once fire up. Back fired maybe 1-2 times over different cranking sessions. The plug seemed a little wet after i pulled it like it was getting fuel. I am a little stumped but thought you guys would have some direction for me. I am a newbie when it comes to repairs

Thanks
