have 850 XMR. what is the best oil to use. will 0w40 work. and do I really need the BRP oil.. the mechanic I go to said he puts Mobile 1 Syn 0w40 in it.
is that good oil??
also I heard lifting a bike isn’t good and causes more stress on parts. However, would a 2in lift cause any stress at all or would that be ok.. just to have that little extra clearance.. I have the stock 30in backs.
I’ve had a 08 Suzuki king quad 450 since new. It was time for more power. Now I have almost 100 miles on my less than a month old xmr 650. Loving every bit of it so far. So far a 12" lift bar, 8" towers, full skid plate and a winch I’ve put on. Have a light for reverse waiting to be out on.
Bought a brand new fourtrax 300 centrifugal clutch on ebay and it says its only for the 2×4 models and the seller has another one that looks the same and says its only for 4×4 models.. although I checked bike bandit and all the "part numbers" are the same?? so its fine?? I’m sure some of you know if its compatible with both types of driveshafts.
Hi everyone. Ive noticed lately the suspension on my 400ex isnt as plush as i would like. I brushed it off at first thinking i just wasnt used to quads (its my first quad, rode dirt bikes before)
A friend bought the same quad but ’03 and i noticed the front shocks rebound much faster than mine. Even after attempting to set my rebound i noticed little difference.
Worth noting that my front shocks are not stock. They have preload adjustment and nitrogen cans on them (from a 450r or something) nevertheless, the lack of change in shock performance when i play with the compression and rebound is slightly alarming. Anyone know why this is happening? While i am a technical guy, im not too familiar with suspension stuff. Am i missing something? Do i need to rebuild the shocks? (Sure hope not…)
Thans in advance for any advice.

Please help, I am looking for a part for a 2006 Polaris Hawkeye 4X4. It is the starter drive gear / bendix. I can’t locate it. There are tons of them for good prices but none specifically say for my year/model. I don’t want to pay $200 for a Polaris one, they call it a gearshaft. Can anyone help?

Just bought it, and it runs like new but the front wheels aren’t locking in. I was told from the guy I bought it from that its full time 4 wheel drive and that his brother was riding it and he heard a pop sound come from the front and it hasn’t worked since. I’m new to all of this atv stuff, but very mechanically inclined and can follow instructions if someone could give me some direction to go in to start checking it out. Thanx in advance for any help.
