Shim mod

Hello, I just did a shim mod on my 2015 grizzly 700. Everything seemed to go ok but when I put the metal clutch shroud back on it was rubbing against my clutch. I put 1.5 mm worth of shims in. I used a ratchet strap to hold the clutch while I took the nut off, is it possible I over tightened and bent the shaft? Or something else? Does have a slight wobble. Should I get shroud machined or just let it wear itself a groove?

Lower Front A-Arm Bushing Replacement

I am running a 2015 Outlander Max 1000 XTP. I am replacing OEM bushings with Garage Products bushings. I have read a few threads posted on the site regarding the front bolt removal on the lower A-Frame, and took a hard look at this last night. I was curious to know if there is any successful method to removing the lower front a-arm, front bolt without taking off (or loosening) the skid plate and/or loosening the winch mount. Does not look like there is enough room to remove the bolt without doing so. I am running Ricochet skids, although I like them a lot and are tough, I am pretty sure I will be using easy-outs to get the front skid plate bolts out due to use (abuse) on the exposed star bolts. I just didn’t want to turn a simple project into more complex, unless necessary.

Offline GPS for Android in 2016

Did a search and only years old info came up.
What are you guys using for an Android App for GPS … must be usable offline?
Been debating between Garmin 64 or using Samsung S5 and think I’d like to go the phone route. Done a lot of research but man, seem to just go around in circles, lol. All I really want right now is aerial view/topo maps for Ontario, Canada (Great Lakes) so I can see exactly where I am, track and waypoints.
You guys find anything that works well offline, good maps and don’t need to spend countless hours learning just to use as explained above?

New clutch and reflash!

:th_smiliewoo:
Dropped the Maverick off yesterday with Bruce Cline, our local Can Am expert. Getting the new Gates clutch and a reflash from MRRPM on the XMR Maverick.
I can not wait to get it back.
He also has one of the biggest Outlanders I have ever seen. 1000 XMR on 36’s. Man its nice!

Stealth bomber

Hi, new guy here. I’ve searched the forum and can’t seem to find recent information on how to quiet my TRX300FW. It is a ’96; I bought it used several years ago.

Like the rest of this machine, the exhaust system seems to be original and in fairly good shape, but it is just too loud for me and bothers my ears if I ride for more than a few minutes.

I am looking for a way to quiet it down, an add-on muffler will be fine, but whatever I do must have a USFS approved spark arrestor. Unfortunately, sound levels for the "add on types" seem to have wildly mixed reviews for the same product installed on the same model machines.

Of course, acceptable noise level is entirely subjective, and will vary for each user. That said, if I can’t hear my exhaust at all, I would be happy!

I found a couple of old posts suggesting that aftermarket mufflers are becoming scarce for this model, so I am looking recent information, hoping I’m not too late with this mod.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions anyone can provide!
