i am a little concerned that i am reading about way too much dumb shit going on with these things and not just on this site. can-am has done so much for the atv industry, that’s why i came from a long history of jap bikes to an outty.
Dont get me wrong….i like my wheeler but i think that can-am has a quality issue going on with some of the things that go into the machine.
talked to the service guy and asked him if it was a common thing to replace and he said that he has replaced a few already. i was surprised to hear that!!
i know things happen and nothings perfect but i think if can-am buckled down a little on their build they would be right on top of the industry,

Please correct me if I am wrong but the way I see the EHS air box is like this…

As an OEM, unmodified lid the air enters the unobstructed but restricted airway then follows the duct until it hits the filter where the air is filtered (so we hope). The filtered air then passes through and sucked into the engine to be mixed with fuel for combustion.

With an EHS model lid the above mentioned "unobstructed but restricted airway" is semi blocked with a porous foam material so air has to be pre-filtered through the OuterWear material and then hits the filter where the air is filtered (so we hope). The filtered air then passes through and sucked into the engine to be mixed with fuel for combustion.

So what is the downside to a EHS model lid, seems to me its a win win, more air that has been pre filtered by OuterWare material. I would rather pre filtered air vs direct air before it hit the air filter.

Am I on the right track or totally off the mark? :getrdone:

new guy here…..do you take your atv’s in a trailer to the gas station or fill up 5 gal jugs and fill at home?….ive never seen anyone pulling them out of a trailer at the gas station to fuel up….i live in a more city area…maybe in the country area where atv’s are more popular this would be common?

just curious if i should buy a few more 5 gal gas cans or what is a proper atv thing to do?

I have a 2006 450 and it seems that it has a hard time in high.
I replaced the belt last year and cleaned the clutchs.
I run around in low most of the time because it doesn’t seem to pull in high.
I realize that its not a high HP machine but it works for what I do 99% of the time.
Any ideas where I should look for and issue ??

I’ve been having an issue with my exhaust popping and backfiring on decel. I changed my exhaust to a big gun Eco about a month ago but it seems to have just started a couple days ago. I always use ethanol free 93 octane. I changed the plug but it still doing it. Here’s what the plug looked like.

Hey guys I have everything installed but I can’t figure out how they want you to run the overflow line? The picture does show it to well. Any help would be appreciated

Brisk Silver Racing Spark Plug Online, High Performance Spark Plugs

Has anyone used these plugs and have documented gains, beside "seat of the pants"? I’ve read all the crazy claims and how they will increase fuel economy and HP. I can’t seem to find any believable reviews from independent sources claiming they do anything besides make your wallet lighter. I’ve always been a believer spark plugs don’t do any of that and most of it is all marketing. So, is this just another spark plug gimmick like all the others in the past or do they actually have substantiated claims?
