I purchased my 650 a few weeks ago and love it, but I am having problems, after I let it sit over night / few hours. I start it up after its been sitting and try to take off and it will either stall or have no power till it warms up, takes a few minutes to warm up and them runs fine. Its only been as cold as 60 out , so not cold at all , it gets well below zero in the winter so I’m worried about that. Only 200 miles and 14 hours . Need some advice.
Things going along fine through the winter after I located a loose battery connection. Was very nice to have it go when needed. Battery was 1 year old.
Then … started one day … twice … and then got the dreaded "click"
Put it on a battery tender overnight and it started the next day … once.
Pulled the battery and had it tested. Replaced it. Battery was from Advance Auto. Just under 1 year old. Originally cost $104 … and had a 3 month warranty … good grief!
Now have same issue. The charging circuit must be screwed up. Can someone give me an overview of how this works on the ATV? What voltage should I expect while the machine is idling that would indicate it is charging?
I have a 2008 660 that’s the best machine I’ve ever owned. However, on my last trip out (I have almost 2000 miles on the Grizzly) the Grizzly would run rough after starting… after a long run. This happened 3 or 4 times in a row. The problem would clear itself after about 15 seconds and the engine would run fine, but the next time I turned it off and then restarted it, same thing. Today, I got the Grizzly hot and took a ride. Turned it off and then restarted it with no problem.
I’m thinking fuel issue? Is it possible that a fuel filter could cause this.. or just dirty fuel? (My fuel is always fresh).
This is a concern because I travel alone where God couldn’t find me. The Grizzly’s trying to tell me something… but what?
