Fuel gauge Empty for Flashing

Recently my ATV was rolled and it destroyed the gauge cluster. We replaced it with a used from from ebay. The speedo, gears, hours etc all appear to work but the fuel does not.

Right now I am not 100% sure if the issue the fuel sending unit or if there is something wrong with the used Speedo.

I read before that if you unhook the fuel pump wires and ground out the middle pin that it would show full. With it unhooked it would show empty. (I think I have that correct). Anyway when I have mine unhooked there is nothing listed for the fuel. When I ground the middle wire it flashes full but does not show full it flashes.

When it is hooked up the gauge either reads empty (regardless of amount of fuel in the tank) or when driving it will flash just like it does if I ground out the middle wire.

My question to the people here is do you think something is wrong with the sending unit or do you think something is wrong with the speedo gauge cluster? I wish I had another cluster to plug in to test but I do not and I do not want to order another one if the issue isn’t the cluster.

Any help on trouble shooting this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
KJ

Opinions on tires anyone?

I have a 2015 Honda foreman with stocks on it:

Does anyone know what kinda tires i should get, I don’t want anything overly aggressive or anything oversized. I would use it for mud pits just as often as trails and i’d also take them on roads to get from trail to trail. I’m looking of going up one size to 26-11-12 and 26-9-12. id like to keep the rims the same size.

i was looking at something like mudzillas, wildthangs, or something like reptiles, any ideas? thanks

2016 bogging

Hay just joined the forum to get some advice on a small problem I’m having with my just purchased 2016 eps grizzly.

It has only happened a couple times but when going threw water or even driving bike threw "buggy wash" at mud events my bike bogs a little and wants to stall out(airbox didn’t take in water). From the little research I’ve read it seems it could be as simple as steam from water on exhaust going in airbox(very close to each other) . Does this sound like the problem and if it is how could i fix it without snorkeling. I know im not giving much detail but its because i think its the steam. would like to fix the problem asap because it makes me not want to go in water.

02 polaris 700 twin proble.

Hi I have a 02 polaris sportsman 700 twin and I’m having some problems with it the muffler gets so hot it burnseems my leg just to get close to it but I am going to put exhaust wrap on it so that might solve the problem but if it dosent work any suggestions and every time I splash in a water puddle it gets my spark plugs wet and I can’t figure out any solution any suggestions

Pulled the trigger on a big lift for the 800 xmr and built lift for the 570.

I sold my 2" lift that was on my 800 xmr.. I was searching for a used 4" catvos. I found a few for reasonable prices. They were all either missing components or looked too rough for the price.. A new Catvos was out of the question after my friends catvos lift had him down 3 weeks trying to get a replacement axle and trailing arm.

I ordered a SATV 6" lift yesterday, hesitantly. … Then came across a great deal on a brand new Cfab 6" lift today. Canceled my SATV lift and bought the cfab lift.. I still need axles and brake lines for the cfab lift.. Corey at Cfab is powdercoating everything and will install all the bearing. I will order the axles next week.. I haven’t decided if I should use Turners, Gorrilla or Cobra. I see its a 50/50 chance on the rhino axles lasting.

How she use to be.

I have a new tps sensor. I still need to order a bored throttle body and the new PCV with timing control..

I extended my stock 800 xmr trailing arms and put on my wifes 570.. next I will either make a 1.5" bracket lift or put a set of rear shocks up front. The rear shocks are 1.25" longer with no pucks.. I will also make the front lower arms adjustable.. Her 570 is getting 31" tirez even though it clears 33s fine..

Will hit but will not run

On my 01 300 EX I rebuilt it over this past winter due to rings being bad. Well about 2 months after I got it going again my timing got screwed up and I tore it back apart to fix it to find out that the bolt holes and bolts to my stock cam had been messed up. They backed out and was wiggling really bad, but we found it before they came completely out. Well I ordered a Hot Cams Stage One Camshaft timed the four wheeler and adjusted the valves to the specifications. Well when I pushed the start button and messed with the gas a little bit, it will hit a couple of times then will not hit again. Any advice on how to fix? Could my timing still be messed up and not stock timing with the different cam?
