Just purchased a 2007 renegade 800 and it went into limp mode within 5 minutes of riding. I checked the rad, hoses, coolant,bleed air and check thermostat. So after all that I removed the water pump housing and noticed the water impeller isn’t rotating when I start the bike. What could cause this. I also notice the shaft that the plastic impeller is attached to is rotating and when I turn by hand I hear a clicking noise. any help would be greatly appreciated. Cant wait to get this thing running.

Ok so starter clutch was bad cause the starter would engage and spin but not the motor. Pulled the flywheel and good grief. Back side of the starter clutch is tore up and not to mention and missing screw!!!!! What to do now since I’m missing that screw? Do I need to find it or flush the motor or what?

Hi, I have a 1988 Honda fourtrax 300. I just installed a new carb and choke. Only way I can try to start it, is with kick start. Not the point, but just in case you need to know. It will start for a second after I pump the primer, then it dies. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On my Kodiak I can hear the front diff servo making noise when you press the button, when I spin the front wheels (with the quad up on stands) the drive shaft turns when in 4WD but not when disengaged (as it should), but I am not getting any drive to the front wheels with the motor running. I am doing it like this because I could not detect 4WD drive action when riding it. I have to add that I have just bought it with NO brakes, all new brake parts are on order, so I obviously can’t drive at speed. I have read that the front end won’t kick in till the engine revs are up, could this be what is happening to mine?
What drives the front driveshaft, could I have a problem in there?

I just saw a TV commercial for a product called Rustoleum Wipe New. Supposedly you wipe on a type of sealant that restores colors on all types of surfaces. I was wondering if anyone has used this on ATV plastic. If so, did it work as advertised? My renegade foot wells are pretty scuffed up and look gray instead of black. Thanks!
