ATP 500 Rear Axle Seal Leak

Hey Guys,
I have a quick question regarding my 2005 ATP 500. I seem to have a pretty bad leak coming from the seal between my axle tube and the gear housing itself. After looking on line, it looks to be an o-ring between the two pieces. my question is, can i simply unbolt this side of the axle and remove the axle tube and shaft or is it more to it than that? For instance on my ole’ chevy truck, you have to knock a pin out of the gear case before the axle will come out. Not really familiar with the strait axle atv’s. Thanks for any input in advance!

One way bearing questions….

Hi. New member here but not new to Polaris. Recently purchased a new 570 without much research. Needed it fast and was a good deal. Dealer said the new clutches are longer lived. Then I come on here to learn more about the EBS system and find people needing to replace the one way bearing early and often. Love the new machine so far but this concerns me.vhave 20hrs on it already spraying weeds. Love the power steering and the power overall. Anything in the way I run the machine that would make the bearing last longer?

My previous machine was a 2007 450 that didn’t need any work till over 7000 miles at which point it needed a secondary clutch.

Another question- I read a post on here saying it’s bad for belt to idle in gear? Ours idle in gear a lot during stop and go spraying. Pulled belt at 7000 miles and it was 1/8 inch narrower than new belt but it was all even wear on the 450.

My background.. I grow up with Polaris and have been a big fan since my day one. I love to fix problems myself. I don’t understand when my friends get so frustrated when they get stuck with a problem. I kinda look forward to the learning experience so problems I welcome. l570 problem loses all power

I have 2016 l570 with about 200 miles on it. Today I rode it for about 5 minutes and it shut off. Restarted and it ran OK for about 30 seconds and threw a check engine light and wouldn’t idle. Shut off and then would run and the cluster would shut off and machine would coast to a stop. The main relay would buzz until turning the key off. It did this multiple times. I checked the battery connections and switched relays. They all buzzed in the no power condition where the display is dead. Any ideas? Under warranty but don’t wanna go without for 2 weeks. Thanks

2013 500 HO Belt/Clutch issue?

Let my stepson borrow my quad for a medium run with slight hills mostly in woods riding old creek bottoms. Since then I’ve noticed a looping or lurching of machine at speeds below 5 MPH. On flat ground you have to have engine RPM’s at around 2000 before bike starts to move. My main concern is the lurching foreword at idle or lil above. What could be my problem? Did he burn the belt. which I have not smelled at all..Thanks..Ricky:ugh2:
