Question, I have a 2000 400EX which recently had the head gasket replaced on it. We noticed that the head nuts were loose when we replaced the gasket. After replacing the gasket the nuts were torqued down to spec and everything was fine for a few weeks until we noticed oil leaking between the head and cylinder and found that the nuts had loosened up. We torqued them down and a few weeks went by and again the nuts loosened up. Would anyone know what to do about this problem? We did not replace the cylinder or studs. Is lock tight needed or is a locking type nut needed? Thanks in advance.

I went riding yesterday, and as I downshifted to 2nd the quad stalled and the engine light came on. I tried to restart in neutral no luck, then tried to bump start in 2nd still no action. Took stuff apart and found no fuel out of the injector. We checked fuses, and changed with spare just to be sure. Also tried to clean injector. We also by passed the fuel programer, still no luck. So I ended up getting towed back to trailer.

I took back apart today, and put the injector in my 2nd quad and it works fine. So aparently there’s no power to the injector, with or without the programmer. So I don’t think it’s the pcv. I notice wires from the injector going to the coil. Could this be a bad ignition coil?

I think I’m going to swap coils out. If that don’t work then start playing with multi meter. And I suck at anything electrical, except for house wiring. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, I am in need of some help.

My idiot friend drove into a steel gate (along with me on the back) and the gate caught the handle bars and bent the steering stem really bad.

I have taken all plastics off and got the tie rods popped but I have having a hard time getting the main nut off… Do i need to take off my winch for this and go through the front?

Trying to get this thing back in action for CANADA day 🙁 so any help is very appreciated.

hey guys. so ill start this out by saying that i grew up in a ford household. but i have 0 brand loyalty. i also have no real knowledge in the truck market… only that i grew up in fords, and my dad will always own fords.

im about to go look at a silverado tonight. 2004 silverado 1500 ls. extended cab. 5.3L… 6.5′ bed. it has 95k on the clock. my father jokingly said he wont be seen in it in daylight. fine by me. we can rack up miles on his f250sd allll day long!

what are your thoughts about that generation silverado? common issues? if you arent a chevy guy, what are rumors youve heard about them? is it a pretty good truck as far as reliability is concerned?

that is my chief concern. reliability. it will be my 2nd vehicle, mainly used for towing and it will surely out tow my grand cherokee with a 4.7L that it is replacing. so "performance" wise, its pretty much a moot point. ill never be pushing its limits as far as towing goes.

it has a receiver under the bumper. idk if that is standard,or if that means it came with a towing package. ill have a brake controller in it.

I’m curious about peoples thoughts on turning technique. Assuming you lean to the inside of the turn, to which footpeg do you apply most of your weight in slow tight turns, faster medium turns and high speed turns. Why do you do it this way?

on a 06 400 rancher will the push rods be in place as im installing the cylinder head cover ?

I am no computer whiz but I cant seem to find crap about the 2017 mav and what I do see is really no different then the 16? Anyone have any good links or info on the changes the 2017 will bring? My rzr is about to be sold an I am trying to decide on next toy, Thinking of trying the canam but was hoping for better suspension n power for 17.

I have two Polaris winches and the first ride with both of them the hook got ripped off somehow. Once was tightened up to fairleads, one was hooked to front ring on my Sportsman. Cable looks fine, but hook is nowhere to be found. Are they that cheaply made? Any ideas for replacement hooks? How/where do you guys store the winch while you’re riding?

Just wondering if there is an option for adding power steering on the Gen 2 Renegades? SuperATV’s website says its only good on Gen 1, but Ive seen some incomplete threads where guys say they’ve used that kit on a Gen2?
