Anyone afraid to pull the trigger in fear of buyers remorse?

I started out looking at a Can-Am XMR 1000r.
Then I decided that i just couldn’t afford 16K for a 4 wheeler. So i played around with the builds and what not on the Can-Am site, and came to the conclusion that I was going to go with a Can-Am 570 XT. 48 Horsepower V-Twin, with Power steering, winch, front and rear bumpers. Beautiful machine, but Can-Am dropped their free 5 year warranty, and their prices are just HIGH compared to others. I realize that you get what you pay for, but I am just not looking to spend 10K if I don’t have to.

Polaris offered these 1000 dollar rebates on Sportsman 450/570 models and I got looking at their site… I really like the Sportsman 850. What a sweet ride. And with their rebates right now the 850 Base model is $8499. After rebate $7,699.00 Which is a GREAT price for an 850cc Big Bore ATV. Surely would love the 1000, but again, it’s over the 10K price tag.

The real deal right now is on the 570.
Base Model = 6599 after rebate 5599 (Now that is a great price on a nice ATV).
Even the 570 EPS is 7499, after rebate… 6499 6499 for a sweet bike with Power Steering, selectable 2×4 / AWD.

I did call a Kawasaki dealer… He says he can get me into a Prarie 750 V-Twin WITH power steering for 7599 add freight and set up which is 195 + 65 and im still at 7860… 7860 fora 750 VTwin with Power steering…

So this is my dillemma… it’s like one price leads right into the other…. and im stuck at "Just buy the biggest most expensive one… or don’t buy any" The way the prices work out, I can’t help but feel like i’ll have buyers remorse once I get the thing home… THe first time something happens and im in a situation without enough power i’ll be kicking myself saying "Shoulda just went with the big Can Am you wanted in the first place"

So anyone else find themselves in this situation? Can anyone chime in with any words of encouragement or any past experiences going one way or the other?

Thanks guys!

Jack !!!

New Register from WAY Upstate NY

Hey guys! New to the forums. I have been lurking for a couple weeks as I have been researching a new ATV. Lots of great info, and some awesome reads on here.

Where I live we get a lot of snow, and there is LOTS of farm land, as well as being right at the food of the Adirondack Mountains. (Largest park preserve in the nation). So there is lot of room for riding around here.

I specifically joined this forum, because I have a lot of questions about Polaris ATV’s. One minute they sound great, then I’ll have someone or some youtube video telling me otherwise. But.. the numbers don’t like. Number 1 selling ATV of all time.

Looking forward to seeing you guys around, and talking ATV Shop! One of my favorite past times!!

Trailblazer rear brake swap

I recently purchased a 1997 Trailblazer and absolutely hate the rear brake set up. Can I swap out the swing arm, with the axle brake, off a newer TB? Or can the ’97 swingarm be modified to accept a caliper?
And has anybody installed a steering stabilizer on a TB250? Where can I find one?
Thanks

REAR AXLE ISSUES!!! PLZ HELP!

I have a 1995 Yamaha Big Bear 350 All time 4×4. Recently while riding, I lost my rear drive. I never heard any noise at all and when picked up, the rear spins smoothly with no noises out of ordinary. I’m trying to take apart rear differential but I’m having problems getting axle ring nuts off. This seems like a dumb question to be but what direction do they spin to come off? While standing behind it, do I turn them up, towards front of bike, or down, towards rear of bike? Please help, I need to figure out what may be needed to fix problem!!!
